Item Description

Welcome to 20th Century Collectables Quality vinyl for the discerning collector The Beatles Please Please Me Genuine 1963 1st issue UK mono pressing 1st mother on the Black Gold Parlophone Label, catalogue number PMC 1202.
In this 50th anniversary year, 20th Century Collectables is proud to offer this superb example of a 1st pressing black gold Please Please Me in its original GOLD cover with the rarer Northern Songs label credits and 1st mother stampers.
The copy has stunning black gold labels which still retain their original freshness and has a superb unworn audio.
Now becoming increasingly rare in this condition, this record has great investment potential unlike most battered and worn copies now being offered for auction.
Don t miss out Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N XEX 422-1N Stamper codes: 1/L 1/G0 1st Mother One of the earliest copies pressed Please check out the pictures and read on for further details:- CONDITION Disc Labels: EXC /nr MINT The all important black gold labels on this UK 1st pressing are truly superb and retain their original shop freshness.
Both labels are free of any spindle trails.
The gold lettering is shop fresh and completely unworn.
The MT tax code is visible on side 2.
Audio: EXC /nr MINT Very little to fault this superb sounding copy other than some occasional surface noise evident between some tracks and a few faint ticks on the play out to Ask Me Why but other than that it really is a superb sounding copy with all the dynamics and power of this famous pressing.
There is no groovewear or distortion to any of the music signals.
A great listening experience.
Needless to say the record does not jump or stick.
Visual: EXCELLENT- The record has many light whispy sleeve removal marks and other light superficial surface marks but non are deep or feelable or offensive.
In short this record has been played many times on good equipment and has been clearly looked after in its 50 year history.
The grade falls short of excellent but exceeds very good.
In consideration of how superb and undamaged the audio is I have graded the vinyl as excellent minus.
The record lies 100 flat on the turntable.
Cover VG /EXCELLENT - The record comes in its original E J Day GOLD cover.
A very respectable example example and tough to find in this condition.
The front panel still retains its high gloss sheen and shows only minor signs of wear.
The rear panel is clean and free from any writing.
There is wear along the bottom edge of the sleeve and some minor damage to the bottom flipback however all flipbacks are still intact.
One only needs to check out the condition of most sleeves which are now appearing on ebay to realise that this is a nice example and many sellers would grade higher.
Inner-sleeve EXCELLENT Clean correct with just a touch of light storage/handling creasing.
Any questions please ask PLEASE NOTE: 1st class next day Special Delivery to UK addresses will be 7.50 GBP.

This record has been strictly and conservatively graded to UK RECORD COLLECTOR standards.
