I DID NOT HEAR ANY SKIPS OR LOUD POPPING OR CRACKING LIKE YOU GET FROM A LOT OF OLD ALBUMS.
I DOES HAVE SOME SCRARCHING BUT THEY REALLY DON T AFFECT PLAY MUCH AT ALL FROM WHAT I CAN TELL.
