Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N XEX 422-1N Stamper codes: 2/GO 1/H 1st Mother Please check out the pictures and read on for further details:- CONDITION Disc Visual: EXCELLENTA superb looking disc which looks virtually mint in strong daylight and still retains its high gloss sheen.
There are no major marks on this record.
On close inspection there are some very fine light surface marks, non of which are feelable and none which affect play.
Side 2 grades maybe just a whisker short of excellent, side two however grades above excellent at or around excellent plus, so an overall excellent grade is appropriate.
A nice looking disc and very rare in this condition.
Labels:EXCELLENT A great set of labels with the gold lettering completely unworn and fresh.
Label one is ridged and this is consistent with some of the older presses still in use by EMI in 1963.
Both labels carry the Dick James music credits.
Side 2 Carries the MT tax code.
Audio: EXC to MINTA superb sounding disc with near perfect audio.
Side one sounds like a new disc with no deterioration or groovewear to any of the music signals.
Grades at MINT- to MINT.
All gaps are silent with the exception of two faint ticks in the gap between Ask Me Why and Please Please Me .
Overall astonishing undamaged audio.
Side two also has superb audio however there is some slight surface noise audible in some gaps but none audible over the music.
Side two grades at excellent .
All in all a fabulous sounding disc and testament to the quality of these UK 1st pressings.
Cover EXC /MINT- This original 1963 Ernest J.
Day sleeve is in absolutely immaculate condition.
A stunning shop fresh example which is virtually flawless save for some light laminate creasing on the front panel and some light laminate creasing along the bottom rear flipback.
The back panel is astonishingly clean and fresh and has clearly been stored in ideal conditions for the last half a century.
The Angus McBean photo credit is in the corrected position.
There is no writing or personalisation to any of the back cover.
The spine is perfect.
Extremely rare and desirable in this condition.
Inner-sleeve EXCELLENT Clean correct with just a touch of light storage/handling creasing.
