I have more than 1000 Beatles UK albums alone.
This is one of sixteen original and complete Let It Be Boxed sets that I own.
The first thing that I must say is that my first original box set was purchased new in a record shop called Art Nash in Penge London, two weeks after initial release in the UK and I still have it.
It is my personal opinion that this was not released with the so called rare poster, in fact none of the original copies that I have seen over the past 45 years of collecting Beatles records have I ever seen a poster with this item.
Note It is not to say that there never was a promotional poster intended for retail outlets to display, but buyers beware that replicas are imerging, mainly from Italy and are found all over the internet for sale This Set is totally original, complete and correct It contains...
The outer box sleeve the inner sleeve , The original Book , The book tray, The vinyl, The record sleeve , The record cover.
and these are totally original and correct My detailed description below begins with the vinyl and proceeds to describe the packaging contents For me the audio quality has always been my most important aspect when collecting records.
There is an audio player below that has the full recording the this item for sale, actual recording from the vinyl.
Please Note The outer casings and tray show wear and tear and slight damage with age and greater details of condition is noted further down in my description below.
Please take time out to read my description in full.
The Vinyl, Audio, Record Cover, and book are graded very near mint The Let It Be Book is lovely with all pages clean and intact with no creases or fading, foxing etc.
Very hard to find like this.
All of my records are stored with the vinyl removed from the cover and sleeve for protection.
This is how I have always stored my records This is the very earliest pressing to ever find of this album, with -2u -2u Matrix endings the earliest possible The audio on this earliest pressing is probably one of the most vibrant that I have ever heard, mega vibrant and bassey feel , sounds absolutely stunning on my systems Featuring the very earliest 1st issue 1st UK press Garrod Lofthouse fully laminated cover With the red logo t the rear Only found on the 1st issues This cover is also in tip top condition for being over 48 years old Please do not underestimate the rarity and the condition of this album, rarely seen like this I will be listing more Beatles and 60s albums in the next few days and all will be the earliest and in extraordinary condition.

It was released on May 8, 1970 by the band s own Apple Records label, shortly after the group s announced breakup Most of Let It Be was recorded in January 1969, before the recording and release of the album Abbey Road.
The Beatles were unhappy with the album and it was temporarily shelved.
Let It Be was later re-produced by Phil Spector in 1970.
Photo above: Shows The tray and The tray sleeve cover With the book Photos above: Show the original Let It Be Book By late 1968, Paul McCartney was eager for the Beatles to perform live again, more than two years after they gave up touring.
McCartney wanted the group to make a grand statement, or rather something unorthodox.
At the time, there was a great deal of tension among the Beatles, who had been pursuing a number of personal projects over the course of the previous six months.
The group began rehearsals at Twickenham Studios on 2 January 1969.
No multi-track recordings were made of these sessions, as the Beatles were rehearsing for the live show rather than attempting to record an album.
Despite this, there are widely available bootlegs taken from the mono recordings that were synchronized to the film cameras.
A number of possible locations for the live show were discussed during the Twickenham rehearsals, with the leading candidates being a Roman amphitheatre in North Africa or a cruise ship.
At one point, Lennon sarcastically suggested that they perform in an insane asylum Everyone involved in the Twickenham rehearsals considered them to be disastrous.
By the third day of rehearsal the group openly discussed whether they should break up.
Lennon had all but withdrawn creatively from the Beatles, seldom contributing even to the arrangements of his own songs.
Harrison was increasingly resentful while he was treated respectfully by musical colleagues such as Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton, when working within the Beatles his songs usually were either derided or ignored.
McCartney s attempts to hold the band together and rally spirits came across as controlling.
The constant presence of Lennon s companion and artistic partner Yoko Ono -- who often spoke on Lennon s behalf as he sat silently by -- was a major source of tension.
The intrusive film cameras and the cold, unfamiliar settings of Twickenham Studios also contributed to ill feelings.
Finally, Harrison became fed up with Lennon s creative and communicative disengagement from the band, and on 10 January announced that he was leaving the band now .
Within a few days Harrison was persuaded to return to the group, who moved to their own Apple Studios .
Multi-track recording began when the group moved to Apple Studios on 22 January, continuing until 31 January Harrison brought in keyboardist Billy Preston to ease tensions and supplement the band for the live performances.
Preston worked with the Beatles from 22 31 January The live concert idea culminated with the Beatles and Preston performing 30 January on the rooftop of the Beatles Apple Building at 3 Savile Row before a small audience of friends and employees .
The performance was cut short by the police after complaints about noise.
The complete concert has circulated amongst bootleg collectors for many years.
Three numbers recorded at the rooftop concert, namely Dig a Pony, I ve Got a Feeling, and One After 909, do appear on the album, while several spoken parts of the concert appear between tracks that were recorded in studio .
The matrix Side 1, YEX 773-2U EARLIEST FOR THIS PRESSING Side 2 YEX 774 -2U EARLIEST FOR THIS PRESSING The Mother Stampers Side 1.
2 GL MEGAR EARLY STAMPERS Side 2 21 P The Vinyl This is the heavy thick and chunky type of vinyl only found on 1st pressings These have deeper grooves and are much more robust than later press Only found like this on the earliest pressings of this album On initial inspection the vinyl looks awesome and still retains its original sheen from new and I have double checked , lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping, Almost looks as a new vinyl in my opinion.
Absolutely super glossy appearance, retained from new It is quite obvious to me that this vinyl has had barely no more than a handful fo plays in my opinion very rare to find on an original Beatles record that is nearly 49 years old , I can t see any needle scratches at all on the playing surface at least there are no marks that would or indeed would have any major adverse effect on the awesome audio Quality that I heard and no loud constant clicks or pops at all Absolutely remarkable for this mega rare early 1st press vinyl The Audio Quality The most important thing in my opinion, I have played this vinyl through track for track on a top system at very loud volume and in my opinion this not only looks barely played at all but sounds absolutely stunning on all frequencies Superb crystal clear and vibrant throughout the first thing to note is that there is absolutely no loud clicks or pops and the audio is clear and very vibrant there was just very light static/tick/crackle heard in just one or two isolated quiet places only.
Cleaning should help enhance the audio quality in my opinion ,, super bassey feel that can only be found on theses earliest pressings Please note Please allow for the lightest of background static crackle and perhapes very very light isolated distant static tick or ticks that would only be heard at very loud volume in a quiet place only , but even between tracks any interfearance is minimal lovely and quiet and is definately graded at the very top Also the earliest to boot I would class my self as highly critical when it comes down to the audio quality.
I noticed that the vibrancy was one of the best that I can remember on this pressing it really blew me away.
Please look at my completed listings of records that I have sold of this calaber and you will see that I normaly get it right I would grade the audio at Near Mint Throughout One Of The Best That I Have Heard Hear for yourself in the player above Actual recording from this album listed .
Please note I always add this disclaimer Please allow for the odd isolated light distant static crackle tick light pop perhapes only heard during quiet places Please remember that this is a genuine 49 year old original vinyl that would have originally been played on a 49 year old system In my opinion this audio is arguably, one of the best that you could possibly find It is important to note that this album has been stored in a case , laying dormant for over 35 years A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves cases static ticks and crackle A constant clean before each play is highly recomended, this will reduce any static and will enhance the audio quality The labels These are the original and earliest DARK APPLE LABEL superbe condition When angled in strong light, barely a handful of spider marks can just barely be seen, in fact these can even be counted.
There is little if no spindle ware the hole is perfectly round, and tight on the spindle,, Please note It is my opinion that this vinyl has barely ever been played no more than a handful of times and of coarse very earliest early copy and highly collectable like this The Record sleeve This is the original plain white patented sleeve made in England no splits or tares light creasing fading with age only The cover This is the original 1st press fully laminated GARROD LOFTHOUSE COVER Features the RED APPLE LOGO at the rear only 1st press covers Rarely ever seen in this awesome Near Mint condition No storageware bumping at the corners.
No Nasty Creases in fact I can just count two minor small crease lines on the front just try to find better original like this This has its original SUPER GLOSSY APPEARANCE see photos Very, very lightest of ringware rubbing only can only really be seen angled to the light if looked at closely THIS COVER BEING PRIMARILY BLACK IN COLOUR IS SO DIFFICULT TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION BELIEVE ME Points to note please look at the spine This has not been crushed with age Only the earliest of these covers had flatish rounded spines later press covers feature flat end spines with pinched ends THIS COVER IS MEGA RARE AND THE EARLIST 1ST Originally introduced with the boxset Only a very few were released individually as a single album Always been stored seperate from the vinyl for protection the way that I have always stored my records Graded at least excellent plus to Near Mint in my opinion The Box Cover This is the original 1st issued box cover/sleeve fully laminated and made by Garrod Lofthouse, England.
This show signs of wear and tear with age in the form of light creasings noted at the front in my opinion and slight scuffing wear/slight damage at the top left corner to mention, this is from the contents being pulled in and out of the sleeve over the years but still intact and nothing too bad in my opinion.
The laminate is glossy with light rubbing wear to be expected but initial apearence is acceptable in my personal opinion.
The rear displays a small scuff/scratch mark seen in photos very minor creases to mention at the opening edges.
In general I would say Excellent concidering this is 49 years old The Outer Book Tray Sleeve Note This is the original Complete, displays some creasings/scuffing and wear with age and use but no splits or tears.
Very fragile.
There is the normal patina from age and the underneath displays fading/browning with age.
The Book Tray Note This is the original Complete Displays Creasings and is very fragile.
This is stll intact but there are some tears beginning in the item at the four corners of where the book sits and on a couple folds.
Again this is caused by the item being pulled out of the sleeve over the years These originals are often seen missing and replaced with replicas.
Beatles box sets that are totally original are much more desirable and collectable in my opinion The Book The Book is in amazing condition Very near perfect, despite the wear on the outer casings this looks like it has barely ever been read.
All pages are as near as perfect in my opinion.
No creases, so ften seen with loose pages, this is totally intact.
The front and rear of the book laminate is lovely and glossy with no real wear to mention I would grade the book at very near mint in my opinion.
