Catalogue No.
PMC 1202.This 1963 release is documented as a second pressing of The Beatles UK Debut Album release, Please Please Me on the Black Gold Parlophone Record Labels first released on the 22nd March 1963.
This one has the corrected Northern Songs Credits for, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Do You Want To Know A Secret There s A Place.
The LP comes in its original polythene lined inner bag and housed in its front laminated Ernest.
J.
Day Co Ltd London, three flip-back Picture Sleeve with the Angus McBean Photograph credit printed nearer to the opening edge on the bottom front corner.Side 1 matrix and stampers, XEX 421-1N 1 G P.
Side 2 XEX 422-1N 1 2 G H.There is an embossed MT Tax Code embossed on the centre of side 2 record label.
The LP plays with amazingly clear and uninterrupted sound quality, without faults through all tracks, there were no pops, no clicks, no skips, no background noise and stunningly silent between tracks, a perfect sound quality from beginning to end from this heavy quality vinyl LP.RECORD LABELS.Both record labels are in almost perfect condition, super clean and bright and unfaded record labels to both sides with only a couple of short hardly visible play signs.
There is an embossed MT Tax Code on the centre of the side 2 record label.
MT Tax Coding for luxury goods was introduced on the 1st January 1963 and then changed to KT on the 1st July 1963.
VINYL SURFACES.
Both sides of this amazing LP are in beautiful Near Mint condition.
This LP has clearly been well cared for by the previous owner.
It s been a long time since Iv e had one of these Northern Songs Issues in this pristine condition.
A very careful look at both sides of the LP reveal only just a couple of insignificant surface hairlines, absolutely no scratches or scuffs, in my very honest opinion it would be extremely difficult to find a better example these days.
THE PICTURE SLEEVE.
The correct E.J.
Day picture sleeve is also beautiful and has a very glossy Near Mint front panel with just a couple of very tiny corner bumps and due to the heavy card construction of the sleeve there is hardly any signs of LP storage.
Both edges and spine edge are just perfect.
The back panel of this sleeve has remained super clean and i cautiously grade it as Excellent Plus for the reasons of just mild handling signs on the opening edge, all three flip-backs are perfect.
