Nice VG 3rd state stereo Butcher cover with VG lp.
Getting some good photos to elaborate on any flaws and represent an accurate view of the overall cover was a bit trying, I probably took dozens of photos at different angles with most of them showing this cover as a beautiful flawless example with pearly white seams, that s not what I was looking for, I want you to see any and all distractions so you can get a good clear idea of the cover.
The photos I finally selected to use here are a good close resemblance of the actual cover.
For me, my list of distractions about this cover are as follows, first, the 3 slight half inch wrinkles along the left boarder caused during the manufacturing of the 2nd state cover, mainly the one nearest the middle of the left boarder, this one can catch your eye at times and is more pronounced than the other two yet is not heavily distracting.
Next is the slight yellowing around the white boarder, I can always tell a Scranton cover like this one at first sight when I see them on Ebay, the white boards are usually a bit yellowed, they don t seem to hold their brightness over time like the Los Angeles covers boarders do, this one is better than most and the seems are all in tact as you can see in the photos.
Last, the slight lines along the cover that happen during the manufacturing of the 2nd state mostly on the stereos, this one is actually much better than most stereos I ve seen advertised, the lines on this cover are not much of a distraction to me being so slight and hard to see, believe me if they were I d have it as number 1 on the list, I don t like glue lines standing out on the cover and becoming the focal point.
The slight lines on this cover are tough to see straight on you would have to turn the cover to the side and get it in some light to find them, I took alot of shots from different angles just to have some that exposes these lines, well the one in the banner exposes itself but being so slight it was never very distracting to me.
All in all this is a great Beatles Butcher cover that will hold its own and fit right in looking great set side by side with the rest of your Beatles album collection.
