BEATLES A: The Long And Winding Road B: For You Blue APPLE, 4E 006-04514 M, SWEDEN HOLY GRAIL TIME I have had the privilege to offer some very rare Beatles items in the past the Our First Four box-set, black/gold Please Please Me LP etc.
, but the item up for grabs here - the original Sweden release of the The Long And Winding Road 45 on Apple from 1970 trumps all of them.
This 45 and its sleeve are only known to exist in a handful copies.
For some reason it was immediately withdrawn from the market and the german release was instead sold here in Sweden.
I have no idea why, but that is what happened.
Up for grabs here is the by far rarest Beatles record released in Sweden, and one of the absolute rarest worldwide releases as well.
As far as I know it has NEVER BEEN SOLD ON EBAY earlier.
This is the first copy of this 45 that I have ever had, I have actually never even seen another copy in the flesh .
Both the sleeve and the 45 are made in Sweden.
This item is in SUPERB condition.
The sleeve is almost in total time machine condition, but I m going to play it safe and grade it as EX due to some extremely light ringwear.
There are NO tears, NO writing and NO seam splits anywhere on the sleeve.
It looks lovely The vinyl is also in superb condition, I m going to give it a very conservative EX- grading due to some very light hairlines.
Most people would probably grade it higher, but once again, I m being very conservative here.
