Item Description

lickypup Store THE BEATLES Please Please Me.
Ultra rare 1963 first pressing stereo gold black label with the Dick James credits for misery, I saw her standing, do you want to know a secret, please please me, theres a place.
Cat-PCS3042.
Earnest J Day flip back sleeve.
With the parlophone co label text but without sold in UK.
Matrix on run off dead vinyl is YEX94-1 / YEX95-1.
Mother stampers side one at ten past the hour is what appears to be a letter G.
Side two at quarter to the hour position is the number 1.
Only 900 of these very rare LPs were pressed and this is the very first pressing.
The vinyl looks marked with scratches and surface with a few feelable scratches on side two.
Side one is better, still with surface but without feelable scratches.
Miraculously as is often the case with these vintage thick pressings, it plays fine.
There are the odd pops and clicks due to the marks and some background noise in places side two .
Its unbeleivable looking at the condition visibly that it would play so well.
It sounds much better than it appears.
The labels-- side one looks very good clear with bright gold text, side two is worse with some needle marks but still clear text.
Some wear around the centre hole but generally acceptable see pics .
The sleeve suffers from damage to top flip back reverse some missing top right , small surface removal over group names see , corner bumps and feathering, top and bottom seem split towards open edges.
Also written name on reverse.
The spine print centre name and title is still clear.
With lined inner sleeve.
Taking ino consideration the accurate description with its problems it still is acceptable as a collection filler.
If you did want to play it you would be shocked as to how it could still sound so clear with the loud stereo mix.
Side one has less crackle than side two which does tend to have much more noise and clicks.
I have played 6 times from start to end and there are no jumps or sticks on my garrad deck.
Its listed at 5000 in the collectors guide and changes hands for much more.
This is the second copy that I have had in my posession and sold on ebay, with the last one gone approx 18 month ago.
On the rare occasion that they surface, most are going to investors willing to sit on assetts before re sale.
Why not bag yourself a 1st press for your own collection.
These 900 pressings are a long tterm investment in any condition.
