PPLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries Italy, Russia, France, in particular has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. This is a PRIME copy for a potential 100 super-clean peel of trunk cover exposing the legendary BUTCHER BLOCK art design that was withdrawn.... NOTE: in photo 3 you will see how the trunk cover paste-on was not a perfect fit in covering the Butcher cover, a thin portion of the actual butcher cover is exposed at far left along entire spine area. Of course you can also see the legendary tell tale sign of Ringo s butcher cover vest coming through the trunk cover... lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt lt gt By the time the Capitol Records released Yesterday And Today, the Beatles were in hot water in America. The record was released just after John s infamous interview in which he stated that the Beatles were bigger than Jesus , which angered Americans and provoked many bans on their music and public incinerations of memorabilia. But Yesterday And Today would take public dispproval to a whole new level, as the original cover featured the band in butcher s smocks with baby doll parts and raw meat covering them. The record was pulled almost immediately - creating an instant collector s item - and in the confusion that followed, several replacement covers were issued. Songs on the album were taken from the leftovers of the British release Rubber Soul as well as the single/B-side Yesterday/Act Naturally released on the UK version of Help , the single/B-side We Can Work It Out/ DayTripper , and three songs which had not, at that point, been released in the UK: I m Only Sleeping , Doctor Robert , and And Your Bird Can Sing which all wound up on the UK version of Revolver . You can easily see the V in Ringo s sweater bleeding through the paste -over trunk cover as well as a thin strip of the actual butcher cover at far left photo 3 . Butchers covers are getting pretty scarce in UN-peeled state with most copies being peeled by various means ... Anyway, obvious timeless investment item, overall strong appearance, has no bends, no seam splits, no writing no delete marks... no one interested in, as a butcher cover, would put it down and that can be said with a good degree of certainty. The vinyl is rated: M- a very clean respectable platter , not requiring an upgrade -- even though here it s all about the butcher cover - as you know ... both 1966 mono RAINBOW Capitol labels are clean.
