Afrikaans is a language derived from West German Dutch and is still spoken by 17-20 million South Africans....this version Die Jare Gaan Verby literally translated means The Years Pass in actual Dutch: De Jaren Gaan Voorbij , while Rose Is Rooi Rozen Zijn Rood means Roses Are Red ....and it s sung by a top South African pop singer of the day and released in a ridiculously small run via a brief licensing deal with a small independent distributor Gallo in South Africa....NEVER on CD anywhere, anyhow...
Apart from the Apple 1 Frank Sinatra single given to the 4 Beatles, this is the rarest Apple 45 ever it s THAT rare...it doesn t appear in any discographies at all...only in the essential Jeffrey Levy book AppleLog Apple Records cat no...PD.9431.
Handwritten matrix no s PD 9431 / ABC 27896 and PD 9431 / ABC 27897 last digit on Side B matrix number was originally incorrectly as a 6 , but the 6 was overwritten by a 7 .
