Item Description

Welcome to 20th Century Collectables Quality vinyl for the discerning collector 1963 UK mono -1N WITHDRAWN 1st pressing with Parlophone rim labels, Recording First Published and with ultra-rare MKT tax code, FIRST MOTHER stampers and JOBETE label credit.
This record is an advanced order pre-release production copy not only pressed ahead of the Friday 22nd November 1963 release date but pressed on the very first day of production When EMI took the decision to withdraw all -1N pressings they inadvertently created a highly collectable and rare Beatles record.
With recording for their second album still taking place as late as 24th October 1963 these -1n matrix pressings were hurriedly made by EMI for the impending deadline which was less than a month away.
Mastered at high volume with an enhanced dynamic, these -1n pressings were quickly withdrawn from sale and replaced by a succession of new and different sounding matrix masters before finally arriving at the most common -7n matrix.
Matrix numbers: XEX 447-1N XEX 448-1N Stamper codes: 1/MM 1/GA 1st Mother stampers and positively from the first day of production Please check out the pictures and read on for further details:- CONDITION Disc Audio: MINT A true audiophile copy with absolute stunning undistorted audio.
No surface noise between tracks other than the sound of natural vinyl.
A really great listening experience from this the most powerful of all mono pressings and the closest experience you will get to listening to the Beatles other than listening to the actual EMI mother tapes at Abbey Road.
What struck me when I was listening to this pressing was the power and clarity of Lennon s vocal which shines through.
The record does not jump or stick.
Audio perfection which will not disappoint.
Visual: MINT - A beautiful looking disc which is virtually unmarked and so close to an all out MINT grading.
Under a halogen desk light there are some ultra light whispy sleeve removal marks.
It still retains its original high gloss sheen and its original 1963 shop freshness.
A stunning example and the only possible upgrade would be to acquire an unplayed copy.
The record lies 100 flat on the turntable.
Labels: EXCELLENT A great set of labels with faint spindle traces.
Side 1 carries the ultra-rare MKT tax code.
Cover EXCELLENT An original 1st issue 1963 Garrod Lofthouse cover with the heavier darker image of the Beatles.
The front panel is completely free from thumbnail creases or laminate imperfections.
The rear panel shows signs of natural ageing with some slight discolouration.
There is some wear and rubbing to the back panel along the opening edge mainly towards the top but this is not particularly noticeable nor does it detract.
There is some very minor damage to the top right and bottom right hand corner flipbacks but apart from this all filpbacks are undamaged an intact.
The spine is uncrushed and in pristine condition.
A highly respectable example of this iconic Robert Freeman cover.
Inner-sleeve Excellent Clean correct Any questions please ask PLEASE NOTE: 1st class next day Special Delivery to UK addresses will be 8.50 GBP.

This record has been strictly and conservatively graded to UK RECORD COLLECTOR standards.
