Here is a first issue from 53 years ago...INVESTMENT STEREO BUTCHER COVER 1966 ORIG BUTCHER COVER - UN-PEELED - is 100 real deal, check photo closely and view imperfections, however a clean peel should reveal a mint butcher cover original slick underneath the paste-over TRUNK cover.
See condition down below, the outer paste-over cover slick has some cover differences from a mint-condition outer trunk cover...again the original stereo butcher cover underneath should reveal mint graphics with a clean peel which is highly possible and sends the value into -orbit.
STEREO butcher covers are of highest regard in global collector circles, often obtaining up to twice and often more the amount that mono copies get.

The record was released just after John s infamous interview in which he stated that the Beatles were bigger than Jesus , which angered Americans and provoked many bans on their music and public incineration s of memorabilia.
But Yesterday And Today would take public disapproval to a whole new level, as the original cover featured the band in butcher s smocks with baby doll parts and raw meat covering them.
The record was pulled almost immediately - creating an instant collector s item - and in the confusion that followed, several replacement covers were issued.
Songs on the album were taken from the leftovers of the British release Rubber Soul as well as the single/B-side Yesterday/Act Naturally released on the UK version of Help , the single/B-side We Can Work It Out/ Day Tripper , and three songs which had not, in 1966, been released in the UK: I m Only Sleeping , Doctor Robert , and And Your Bird Can Sing which all wound up on the UK -only version of Revolver .Drive My Car 2:30 Recorded: October 13, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, EnglandJohn Lennon - lead vocal, tambourinePaul McCartney - lead vocal, bass guitar, pianoGeorge Harrison - lead guitar, background vocalRingo Starr - drumsI m Only Sleeping 3:01 Recorded: April 27, 1966 at Abbey Road, London, England with lead vocal overdubbed April 29, 1966, backward guitar May 5, 1966 and background vocals May 6, 1966John Lennon - lead vocal, acoustic guitarPaul McCartney - bass guitar, background vocalGeorge Harrison - lead guitar, background vocalRingo Starr - drumsNowhere Man 2:45 Recorded: October 21-22, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, EnglandJohn Lennon - lead vocal, acoustic guitarPaul McCartney - bass guitar, harmony vocalGeorge Harrison - lead guitar, harmony vocalRingo Starr - drumsDoctor Robert 2:15 Recorded: April 17, 1966 at Abbey Road, London, England with vocals overdubbed April 19, 1966John Lennon - double-tracked lead vocal, harmonium, maracasPaul McCartney - bass guitar, harmony vocalGeorge Harrison - lead guitarRingo Starr - drumsYesterday 2:08 Recorded: June 14, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, EnglandPaul McCartney - lead vocal, Epiphone acoustic guitarSession musicians - string quartetAct Naturally 2:33 Recorded: June 17, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, EnglandJohn Lennon - acoustic guitarPaul McCartney - bass guitar, harmony vocalGeorge Harrison - lead guitarRingo Starr - lead vocal, drumsAnd Your Bird Can Sing 2:01 Recorded: April 20, 1966 at Abbey Road, London, England but remade April 26, 1966John Lennon - lead vocal, rhythm guitarPaul McCartney - bass guitar, harmony vocalGeorge Harrison - lead guitar, harmony vocalRingo Starr - drums, tambourineIf I Needed Someone 2:24 Recorded: October 16, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, England with overdubs added October 18, 1965John Lennon - tambourine, background vocalPaul McCartney - bass guitar, background vocalGeorge Harrison - double-tracked lead vocal, capoed lead guitarRingo Starr - drumsGeorge Martin - harmoniumWe Can Work It out 2:15 Recorded: October 20, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, EnglandJohn Lennon - acoustic guitar, harmonium, harmony vocalPaul McCartney - lead vocal, bass guitarGeorge Harrison - tambourineRingo Starr - drumsWhat Goes on 2:51 Recorded: November 4, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, EnglandJohn Lennon - rhythm guitar, harmony vocalPaul McCartney - bass guitar, harmony vocalGeorge Harrison - lead guitarRingo Starr - lead vocal, drumsDay Tripper 2:50 Recorded: October 16, 1965 at Abbey Road, London, EnglandJohn Lennon - lead vocal, rhythm guitar, tambourinePaul McCartney - lead vocal, bass guitarGeorge Harrison - lead guitarRingo Starr - drums CONDITION: The cover: rated: VG front, general use to the outer trunk cover slick which shows some light wear and light soil at bottom area wear though keep in mind a clean peel will reveal a very clean potentially minty butcher cover underneath the trunk cover.
The back cover is VG, light stain discolorations but overall decidedly decent and anyway, it s all about the butcher cover front.
As far as the rare stereo edition is concerned, peeled Butchers covers are very scarce, selling quickly for up to 3000 or more in documented past sales.
Most original 66 STEREO butcher covers are safely tucked away in private collections ...
An obvious timeless investment item, has wear to the spine at lower bottom and a little bit only elsewhere on spine, The Beatles still legible on spine and perfectly aligned.
There are no bends, no writing no delete marks...
but definitely has signs of past use, so MINT expectations need not apply, aside from the fact that a nice peel will reveal a very clean butcher cover slick, which has been preserved as pasted over.
The vinyl ...
rated M- TOP COPY, no problems anywhere...smooth and clear highly shiny original 1966 vinyl over both sides Just as nice are the spotless 1966 rainbow Capitol labels are cleanSEE: SELLERS OTher items for similar cool sounds for head people..EFFICIENT/CAREFUL GRADINGAll imperfections are noted both cover record
