Item Description

THE DOG THAT BIT PEOPLE Combining folky/pastoral prog hard rock with exquisite vocal harmonies, tough guitar leads a dose of Mellotron, this legendary album has become one of the rarest of the era.
The group, formed from the ashes of Locomotive whose only Parlophone album has also achieved mythical status, EMI silently released this album in the Spring of 1971 with barely any promotion and it quickly sank without trace.
This prized album rarely comes up for sale, so don t let this chance of owning a respectable sounding copy pass you by.
This genuine, original UK 1st pressing is on the 1-EMI box Parlophone label: PCS 7125 Matrix numbers: YEX 829-1G YEX 830-1G Stamper code: 1/G 1/R Vinyl weight: 135g Housed in a textured, tri-flipback Garrod Lofthouse printed tri-flipback cover, complete with original EMI advertising inner-sleeve CONDITION Disc Labels: EXCELLENT Both are clean unworn with just a handful of light, well-aimed spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole only.
Visual: VERY GOOD Both playing surface are extremely clean and retain all of their deep-gloss factory shine.
There are several of light surface marks and some hairline scratches on side 2 but just one at the end of track 4 measuring 3 mm is feelable.
Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a few more wispy paper-type hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD This fantastic album has received a minimal amount of play and is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or major faults.
My single careful play-check found no evidence of any groove/playwear and just a little low-level vinyl background on some of the quieter passages together with a few light ticks on a couple of tracks, but no jumps, repeats of any other audible distractions.
Cover: GOOD As you can see, this cover is showing its age.
Both front and rear panels have noticeable foxing and there is some missing paper towards the upper right corner of the rear panel from sticker removal.
However, both seams are unstressed and the spine is intact and readable.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD Fully intact with age-toning being the only issue.
