SUPER RARE 100 GENUINE 1969 UK ACETATE - FEATURING A WHOLE LP OF THE WHO TRACKS MADE AT AT IBC SOUND RECORDING STUDIOS PORTLAND PLACE, LONDON, IT FEATURES HAND TYPED LABELS THIS ACETATE ALSO REFERENCES TRACK RECORDS LTD ON THE LABELS, AND WHO ANNOTATIONS, AND A THE WHO STICKER TO EITHER SIDE MY PICTURES MAY MAKE THE THE WHO STICKERS LOOK WHITE AND RECENT - BUT ACTUALLY IF YOU PUT A WHITE PIECE OF PAPER NEXT TO THEM, YOU CAN SEE THE STICKERS ARE AS AGED AS THE ACETATE S LABELS APPARENTLY PUT ON BY THE 1 PREVIOUS OWNER . THIS ACETATE CLEARLY DATES FROM MID TO LATE 1969 - THOUGH I HAVE NO FURTHER INFORMATION, AND AM NOT SURE IF IT WAS EVER RELEASED. IT ALSO FAIL TO SEE WHY THIS ACETATE IS CALLED THE OX WHEN THAT TRACK DOES NOT FEATURE ON THIS ACETATE. THIS ACETATE IS ALMOST CERTAINLY COMPLETELY UNIQUE - AND THE CHANCES OF EVER FINDING ANOTHER ONE AGAIN, ARE VIRTUALLY ZERO
CONDITION:- FIRSTLY I DO NOT PLAY ACETATES APART FROM A FEW SNIPPETS. THEY ARE EXTREMELY FRAGILE AND I DO NOT WANT TO RISK DAMAGING THEM. THE FEW SECTIONS I LISTENED TO PLAYED REALLY WELL, SO CLEARLY THIS ACETATE HAS NOT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AND NOT WITH A BAD NEEDLE. SOME ACETATES HAVE WALL TO WALL CRACKLE - BUT THIS ONE HAS NONE OF THAT AT ALL VISUALLY THE ACETATE HAS THE USUAL SCUFFLINES, HAZING TRACES, AND SURFACE MARKS EXPECTED FROM AN ACETATE FROM THIS PERIOD. IMPORTANTLY HOWEVER, IT HAS NO CRACKS, NO FLAKING, NO BENDING IT IS 100 FLAT , AND NO CRAZING NOW MOST PEOPLE HERE WOULD MAKE EXCUSES FOR IT BEING AN ACETATE AND GRADE IT VG OR MORE. I WILL GRADE IT LIKE ANY OTHER RECORD, AND GRADE IT G TO BE CERTAIN. AS WITH ALMOST ALL ACETATES FROM THIS PERIOD, YOU SHOULD EXPECT THE ODD BRIEF SURFACE SOUND, OR THE ODD CLICK/POP. THIS IS AN ACETATE AFTER ALL HOWEVER I CAN SEE NOTHING AT ALL THAT WILL SKIP OR JUMP EXAMINED CLOSELY UNDER A 100 WATT BULB AND THIS ACETATE HAS CLEARLY NOT BE OVERPLAYED AT ALL SO A VERY DECENT ACETATE INDEED, AND OF THE UTMOST RARITY
AUTHENTICITY:- AS WELL AS THE SOURCE I OBTAINED THIS ACETATE FROM, AND ITS CONDITION - YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE AGEING TO THE LABELS WHICH CANNOT BE FAKED IN ANY WAY AND ACTUALLY THE CONDITION MAKES THIS ACETATE ALL THE MORE AUTHENTIC. ANY ACETATE FROM THIS PERIOD DESCRIBED AS EX OR NM - WITH ALMOST ALWAYS BE A FAKE. ANY ACETATE WITH PERFECT WHITE OR NEW LOOKING LABELS FROM THIS PERIOD AGAIN, WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY BE A FAKE. BUT THIS ONE IS 100 GENIUNE IN EVERY RESPECT, WILL STAND ANY TEST, AND IS ONE OF THE ALL TIME RAREST UK ACETATES EVER TO TURN UP FOR SALE - EVER

REGARDING GRADINGS:- As I am listing in large amounts, I will only have time to use a simple grading. Obviously I will try to maintain my STRICT standards. These records are EXACTLY as they were found, so there may be the odd fingerprint / dust etc. However there will be NO dirty / mouldy records, and most will be PERFECTLY shiny and clean. In any case, I know that many bidders like to clean their records in their own way. There is no time for playgradings, so these listings are strictly visual only - though this is under a 100 watt buld which picks up any serious marks. I will not mention details that do not affect the grading - such as unglued seams for example, as these can simply be re-glued Any LP which should have a Picture / Lyric inner sleeve, will have it displayed. I also will NOT mention any wear in line with the grading given - such as edgewear, rubbing, etc.
PICTURES:- Time constraints limits me to 1 picture only. BE SURE the cover back will be in the same condition / grading as the front with NO hidden defects , and if this is not the case - it will be mentioned
SERIOUS DEFECTS:- Any LPs cover or inner with splits WILL BE MENTIONED - if there is nothing mentioned - the cover inner are UNSPLIT. The same with rips / tears / sticker marks / writing - all will be mentioned. If nothing is mentioned these will NOT be present.
PACKING / POSTAGE TIME :- Usual high standards. Packed properly to avoid any impact damage buffer zones and taped tight. Obviously with the HUGE amount I will be listing, I will need a few days to pack post. However, I will endeavour to despatch items out as quickly as possible and will be taking a whole week off to do it .
