LED ZEPPELIN - S/T 1st press Turquoise UK vinyl LP G/VG A1/B1 Uncorrected matrix Superhype

Before the description I just need to say this is a rough 1st press copy, it ticks all the 1st press boxes but the record isn t in great shape. If it wasn t such a rare record I d never list it on here in this condition. I d say this is a copy for somebody looking to add this rare first press copy to their collection for a more affordbale price, probably assuming they have another nice copy to play, as opposed to this one.

The vinyl grades as Good Record collector grade , it has lots of scuffs and marks on both sides, some are bigger and deeper and a few are feelable. It doesn t look that good, but plays close to a VG grade. There s heavy crackle on the intro to both sides but this fades as the LP plays through. In heavier tracks the crackle is less noticable but it s always there, on a few tracks there are heavier clicks and pops and it may even skip forward on a couple of tracks. That said it doesn t stick as far as I can see. The LP still has some orignal gloss but overall has lost a lot and is generally scuffed all over. Both labels are clean from any writing or stickers and both grade as VG . Both have the 1st press Superhype credits. To confirm the first press, both matrcies also have the A1/B1 details plus the uncorrected 588 171 matrix.

The rare 1st press turquoise sleeve grades as VG but is towrds the top of the grade and close to VG . There s no writing or splits, no tears or stickers and all corners are generally in good shape. There is light creasing and laminate lift, plus a little notch to the spine see pics but the sleeve is fully intact and nice and flat, plsu the 1st press grey strip is nice and clear on the bottom edge. The spine text is nice and clear, allbeit with a little creasing. The rear of the sleeve is clean but again has light creasing and laminate lift.
