Hi everyone, this auction has some very rare and sought after Grateful Dead records. The gem of this collection is the 4 LP Sunshine Daydream show from Veneta Oregon on August 27, 1972. This is the official release that I bought about 6 years ago and never opened. This is NEW and SEALED. Deadheads know the story behind this show so I won t get into it but it was a benefit concert put together by Ken Kesey and filmed for a planned movie that never happened. At least until it was released officially by Rhino on Blu Ray, DVD, CD and LP several years ago. This is one of the most sought out GD records because every Head knows this show is legendary and it s become very rare. It is on the same level in Deadhead lore as Cornell 5/8/77. This was a limited edition of 5000 and looks mint with no noticeable defects.
Next up we have both the two LP and CD version of the latest Grateful Dead record store day release which was recorded at the Warfield theatre on Oct. 9 10, 1980. These are the acoustic performances only. These were taken from the long run of shows they did at the Warfield and Radio City Music Hall in Oct. of 1980. These shows were planned by Bill Graham to celebrate the Dead s 15th anniversary as a band. Both the 2 LP set and the 2 CD set are also brand new and sealed. Please see pictures for more info.
Last we have the very rare white cover version of Anthem of the Sun. The Vinyl is in excellent condition and plays very nicely. The jacket is in VG condition with some sticker residue in the top left corner and a cut out on the right top side. Other than that it is in great shape. This is an Italian import but everything is written in English. These white covers are highly sought out and fairly rare.
