This is an original 1973 pressing, indicated by the STAMPED not etched Island matrix numbers.
Side A has the matrix number ILPS 9241 A - 4U.
Side B has a STERLING stamp in the dead wax, as well as the crossed out matrix number BML-2001B 4-U which is only found on the first Island pressings The clear vinyl has some black wisps which gives a cool smokey effect ...
To our knowledge this clear vinyl copy is the only one of its kind, as no other legitimate clear or colored vinyl pressing of this album has ever turned up for sale.
Who knows if another copy of this will ever turn up for sale, or is another one even exists Soundfiles are recorded from the vinyl auctioned A1 not B1 as indicated on divshare : Rest of A side not B side as indicated on divshare : B not A as indicated on divshare : Record Side A : VG /VG to VG/VG- surface scuffs, tiny imperfections and traces, plays mostly with light to very light crackles/surface breath, slightly more listenable during the first seconds of A1, a VG/VG- because crackles more audible at the beginning of A2 with a few very light clicks - listen to the 2nd soundclip Side B : VG /VG light surface scuffs, tiny imperfections and traces, plays mostly with very light surface breath/crackles on B1/B2, more listenable at the beginning, a tiny surface hole with smothered sound effects hardly listenable at the beginning of B3 Cover VG- cornea, slightly warped and yellowed, ring wear, edges and corners worn more seriously on left with many splitsp , writings name in big on front, dated New York 8/9/81 and signed on back , marks and traces of dirt, splits on back - right and bottom Label slightly worn on B side, more on A side.
