MC5: Back In The USA 1970, USA/Atlantic 8247 Mono. Disc is M-, and it has white demo labels Cover is M- this is a stereo-designated cover but it has a sticker on the front identifying the release as a CSG Mono promo-release. Stunning shape on this Ridiculously rare promo of Detroit punkers MC5 s second LP, apparently pressed exclusively for AM radio stations ? I wonder who thought an AM radio station was gonna play this in the era of The Archies, Bobby Sherman and The Jackson 5? It s hard to say how many of these got pressed up before they realized what a bad idea it was, but I ve never seen another copy of this LP in my life And it sounds great very in-your-face and wound-up more so than the stereo edition, which is hard to imagine . This is much, much rarer than the Led Zeppelin mono promos that Atlantic did, which sell consistently for over 1000. Check out a track on YouTube via this link:

I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and may represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.

Most of my customers prefer Media Mail because it is very cheap. Please keep in mind that it s cheap because it is SLOW. I have had Media Mail boxes take two months to travel cross-country.
