The N Betweens - You better run/Evil Witch man 7 U.K. Columbia DB 8080 issued in 1966.
Slade before they were slade, signed by Noddy Holder, Dave Hill and Jim Lea Typo Lee on the B-side label credit
Super rare single in any form as a U.K. issue but these ones rarely find their way on to the market now, A signed/autographed issue in a Near Mint company sleeve with original centre still intact and solid after 50 plus years, Signed by Noddy Holder, Dave Hill Jim Lea and all dedicated to Chris
Now the story goes...just as John Howell, Mick Marson Cass Jones left The Vendors in 1966. A young Holder and Hill joined up with Jim Lea and the band was renamed The N Betweens and the single was released shortly after this....the band already had a small fan club base around the midlands which managed to get the band to sign some labels to stick on the records and sell to other fans, Rumour has it...it made no.1 on their local radio station for 1 week and apparently there was only ever 50 of these made...all in the same way, I have only ever seen one other with the same label on on eBay 15 years ago ... This coot I am selling has a small no.49 written at around 2 o clock on the label so there could be some substance to the numbers but you ll have to make your own mind up on that one.
This comes with an unmarked Colombia company sleeve, A card sleeve, A poly lined sleeve all housed and sealed in an outer resealable sleeve... see last pic
CONDITION
The company sleeve is Near Mint, with no writing, rips or tears and very minimal creasing
The Labels are clean and free from imperfections apart from one small area of damage highlighted in a Pic , down graded to Very Good
The signed label, I would say is also in Very Good condition...if it wasn t for a small tear on the right hand side it would have been how it was 54 years back
The vinyl itself looks quite clean, There are no heavy marks or scratches to the records surface just light surface use from use and handling over the years, visually graded Very Good with playback exceeding this, A lovely copy of a very hard to find record
The record has 1 A 1 R stampers as seen in the pics
