Originally the female lead for the obscure doo-wop group The Decoys aka Connie The Decoys ,
this Northern Soul monster from late 65 has to be one of the greatest uptempo dancers to ever
grace a turntable Whilst the A-side is typical mid-60 s fare,
it s the B-side Give Up Girl that really catapults this gem to another level completely
From the Melrose section of The Bronx.....Connie was a staple in the legendary Al Browne s
bevy of great artists labels from the 50 s on thru the early 70 s,
where she later teamed up with The 4 Fellows on Aljon.
Vinyl retains excellent gloss - record doesn t appear to have been played much, if at all.
