with DAVID BEDFORD, MIKE OLDFIELD, KIRWIN DEAR Kevin Ayers ,

ROBERT Robert Wyatt , TED SPEIGH, PIERRE CURBOIS, etc.

English jazz saxophonist who was part of the original free improvisation movement of the 60s. Coxhill is a veteran saxophonist who has been involved in groups going back to the late sixties. In 1970 he briefly played with Carol Grimes and Delivery before joining Kevin Ayers and The Whole World . The following year he was involved in D.C. and The MBs, who never really got off the ground. An early signing to John Peel s Dandelion label in 1971, Peel had discovered him busking in London s Piccadilly Circus. His first solo album, The Ear Of The Beholder, featured guest appearances from Kevin Ayers, David Bedford, Mike Oldfield and Robert Wyatt. Well worth seeking out it was the only double album on the Dandelion label... Tapestry of Delights
