Up for sale folks is an original 1966 Beatles Yesterday and Today T-2553 mono LP. This copy has the legendary butcher cover that was considered highly controversial, and recalled. These are known as second state butcher as they had a new cover image pasted over, and were distributed back out. These are getting harder and harder to find and this is a nice original.
Condition report:
Overall, this is a decent copy. The sleeve shows wear from use and storage. There is a very small one inch split on the top left of the jacket. The title seam has some tears in the lettering and a small missing section on the very top. It shows ring wear and corner wear, and someone had peeled the top layer back inspecting for a butcher cover. The cover grades in at VG.
The vinyl is poor. Someone had scratched the life out of it and stored it without a sleeve. Record is NOT playable, and due to the rarity, you are buying it for the cover anyway. Comes in a generic white inner sleeve. Labels are free of writing, and are and easy VG
