Here is a genuine rarity An original 1956 Chicago Saturn pressing of Saturn/ A Call For All Demons.
Only a handful of copies of this disc are known to exist and in Ra s vast catalogue of rare records this is near the top of the list of the rarest of the rare.
An pairing of early, wonderful Sun Ra compositions.
The vinyl is in Good condition. The surface of both sides have multiple marks and scratches.
On the Saturn side there is very audible crackle at the start of the music that reduces in volume shortly into the track and remains at a lower level for the rest of the side.
On the A Call For All Demons side there is very audible crackle throughout the side.
Both sides play through without skipping and while the crackle is obvious the music is still listenable and not overpowered.
The label on the Saturn side is in VG condition while the label on the Demons side has more markings and scotch tape residue. See photos for details .
The disc comes in a generic white porthole sleeve.
A very far from perfect copy for listening but a beautiful and extremely rare item.
