I was one of the fortunate attendees at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for the career achievement award dinner on March 5, 1993.
There was a who s who of composers in attendance... Elmer Bernstein, Henry Mancini, John Scott, Bruce Broughton, David Raksin and many others. As well as directors Joe Dante, Paul Verhoeven.
Jerry Goldsmith was just about to leave the hotel as I approached him for the autograph. He didn t seem to pleased, but signed anyway
