This terrific album is in stunning EX+ condition. The vinyl shines absolutely beautifully and has not a mark. The labels show just two spindle traces and have no damage to or around the spindle holes at all.

An absolutely stunning quality vinyl not very often seen for Zep records in general but esp. the earliest Plum/red labels. This vinyl looks as if it has just left the presses with a beautiful glossy sheen and without any marks or hairlines. A vinyl and gatefold sleeve very worthy of investment. This does not come around very often!

Non-hyphenated catalogue number indicating the very first label press for this classic album.
Any Plum/Red label with a hyphen in the cat. number is actually a second or third press.

First press matrices A5 B5 with the earliest stampers and "DO WHAT THOU WILT" and "SO MOTE IT BE" etched into the dead wax.

It's as good a time as any to invest in an original copy early press of this classic Zep album which is now very hard to get by as an original first press and in fantastic condition.

Beautiful pristine labels and vinyl!

Vinyl: EX+ . Great heavy barely played first UK press vinyl. A beautiful heavy glossy platter with a super sheen. Even under a strong light there are no hairlines just a couple of wispy paper retraction traces. This has been treasured from day 1 for over 50 years! Both sides look fantastic and have probably just been played once or twice. I subjected the record to a detailed listen on my high end system and it did not disappoint. This sounded better than any re-issue like only an original press can. Lovely channel separation without any distortion, an ultimate keeper copy and final upgrade. I have seen many copies of this album in the past but this is definitely one of the very best I have ever seen. Barely any static at all. This will be an ultimate upgrade for most Zep collectors and is definitely the very best Zep III I have seen for many many years. Needless to say, NO jumps, NO clicks, NO sticks etc..

Gatefold sleeve: EX+ . A great gatefold sleeve for this first UK press version with a fully functional spinning wheel. Beautiful unworn lamination. This is a very hard sleeve to find in such great condition as many owners did not look after their albums properly. This copy is not only well preserved and has been carefully stored as all other albums from this wonderful prog collection. It also looks like it has not been handled since first bought. The colours are rich and the spine is 100% legible. The edges are beautiful unworn and the opening is super crisp. NO creases, NO tears at all and an upgrade for most! One teeny weeny corner crease. More from this wonderful collection will be listed in the near future. A museum piece that will be even more appreciated once seen in the flesh!
