Item Description

This has been in my personal record collection for many years and released in 1963 according to my research is an EARLY PRESSING of the Beatles First Vinyl LP which is the first issue pressed with the Black Gold Parlophone Label.

DETAILS AS FOLLOWS:

ARTIST - The Beatles

TITLE - Please Please Me

RECORD LABEL - Black Gold Parlophone serial no. PMC 1202

COMMENTS - This is a Very Early Pressing of The Beatles First LP with the Gold Black Parlophone Labels, Dick James Credits, MT Tax Code on side 1, Matrix no s XEX 421-1N XEX 422-1N Mother Stampers 1 and H

CONDITION VINYL - Superb MONO Copy Lovely clean shiny surfaces when tilted under a bright light just shows one or two extremely minimal light surface marks, nothing much at all which I must stress strongly, does not in any way detract from the overall sound quality, it plays superbly with hardly any background noise at all - really nice clear rich sound

CONDITION LABEL - Black Gold Pressing, with text starting The Parlophone Co. Ltd ...... lovely and clean, no tears, writing, sticker marks and has hardly any evidence of spindle traces at all with the M T Tax code on side 1.

CONDITION INNER SLEEVE - Original Emitex Polylined Inner Sleeve in virtually Mint Condition
CONDITION OUTER SLEEVE - Original Ernest J Day Co. with Angus McBean printed directly below the S in Songs which signifies that this is a 1st Issue Sleeve. The condition can be described as Quite Good with a clear front picture, solid spine but the rear of the sleeve shows age related staining, wear to the corners, clear tape residue across the bottom which has a bottom edge split through shelf wear about 5 long from the opening edge and has a 2 piece of the flip back section incomplete. I have not attempted in any way to clean or restore the sleeve in any way, this exactly how this has survived the last 57 years However some of these faults on the sleeve may be significantly improved cosmetically if required with selective, cleaning or minor repair, I haven t tried, leaving that to the successful bidder if desired - Please check the pictures thoroughly as they form an important part of the description.

I have described this as accurately and honestly as I can and am pleased to offer someone a great opportunity to acquire this Rare much sought after item that rarely comes available.

See Postage costs before bidding, as for safety and security reasons I have quoted for a Fully Tracked Insured Service for this item.
