Item Description

Hi, and welcome to psychout auctions

I ve collected 50 s, 60 s, and early 70 s records of almost every genre - Psych, Prog, Psychedelic Funk, Soul, Rhythm n Blues, Pop, Folk, Garage, Acid, Freakbeat, Rock, Jazz e.t.c and everything in between for all my life Obviously, 90 of the LP s I ve ever gotten hold of are completely trashed from the hard living ways and the rock n roll, drug and booze fuelled debauchery of all the wild parties of the times, but the golden 10 ? Reluctantly, I ve decided to offer them to all of you serious record collectors out there I m currently trying to set up a record label so unfortunately personal sacrifices have to be made when it comes to my collection, resulting in GREAT benefits for all you shrewd bidders and serious connosieurs of TRUE solid gold music history out there Make no mistake, I ll try my best to consistently offer some of the VERY BEST records available on ebay, many which have taken me YEARS to find

I aim to put a weekly batch up time permitting every Wednesday, all timed to end 10 days later on Saturday night. I ll only ever offer THE BEST, MOST AMAZING, MOST IMPORTANT, VERY RAREST UK 1ST PRESS ORIGINAL RELEASE RECORDS I ve got I won t insult you with later 2nd pressings unless they are of exceptional quality and rarity. I m sure you love good music as much as me, especially when it s a 1st Press LP, direct from the master tape, as the musicians intended it to be heard none of this digitally remastered ,weak reissued, remixed rubbish from hired hands with one eye on the mixing desk and the other on the clock If these session men really knew how genius should sound, surely they would ve been geniuses themselves? There will only ever be one Hendrix, and that s just a tiny example .

I try to be one of the best sellers on ebay and would like to thank all of you potential bidders for your support and taste in music I strictly grade all LP s I list, visually and sonically using the UK RRPG standards as customer satisfaction is highly important to me, and I ll always do my very best not to let you down. Be sure to add me to your favourite sellers list and check my auctions frequently as i ll be listing some gems that you just WON T want to miss out on

I think that s everything, so let the auction commence

Title : Sam Gopal - Escalator

Label year : Original Stable SLE 8001 LP , UK Stereo 1968 OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE PRE RELEASE DJ COPY UK 1st Press with original Stable Records Promo Card

Matrix s : Side A : SLE 8001 A , Side B : SLE 8001 B EARLIEST EVER

AN OUTSTANDING 1968 PRE RELEASE DJ DEMO PROMO EXAMPLE OF THIS PHENOMENALLY RARE PSYCH PROG CLASSIC FROM THE LEGENDARY LEMMY WITH HIS FIRST WILD GANG OF PSYCHEDELIC WARRIORS IN HIS EARLIEST PRE HAWKWIND AND MOTORHEAD ERA THIS PROMO WAS PRESSED IN LATE 1968 WELL BEFORE THE FINAL LP WAS RELEASED IN 1969 AND HAS UNIQUE 1968 LABELS IN COMPARISON TO THE FINAL RELEASE WHICH WAS REDESIGNED TO 1969 - LESS THAN 10 OF THESE DJ PROMOS ARE KNOWN TO EXIST, SO SURELY NOT TOO MANY MORE WERE PRESSED - QUITE SIMPLY NEVER TURNS UP AND IF THAT WASN T ENOUGH, THIS ALSO COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL STABLE RECORDS WITH COMPLIMENTS CARD ISSUED WITH THE LP TO DJ S POSSIBLY THE ONLY EXAMPLE LEFT IN EXISTENCE - I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER UNBELIEVABLE

ONLY A TINY AMOUNT WERE PRESSED FOR AN ELITE GROUP SUCH AS REVIEWERS AND DJ S, THOSE VERY CLOSE TO THE BAND, AND FOR IN HOUSE QUALITY CHECKS BEFORE MASS RELEASE THESE SIMPLY NEVER TURN UP RIDICULOUSLY HARD TO FIND, THIS OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE CULT CLASSIC WAS ONLY VERY BRIEFLY RELEASED IN MINISCULE AMOUNTS TO UNKNOWN OBSCURITY ON THE VERY SHORT LIVED STABLE LABEL, RESULTING IN EASILY ONE OF THE VERY RAREST AND BEST PSYCH / PROG LP S OUT THERE AND NOT ONLY THAT, THIS EXAMPLE SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME WITH FANTASTIC FOR ONCE ORIGINAL TEXTURED GATEFOLD SLEEVE YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN Do not miss out on this MONSTER RARE DJ Promo pre release classic - bid now

About : Ultra Rare Original 1968 PROMO UK 1st Press This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything LP s were also really expensive to most people back then and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition AN absolute classic LP from this incredible band An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60 s / 70 s record collection Don t miss out on this MEGA RARE LP If you like good music, bid now

The LP :

Labels :

Classic 1968 PROMO UK 1st Press textured Stable labels Both sides are FANTASTIC with NO real signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever Just has a few minor storage spots and a small amount of ultra light spindle marks which suggests that this hasn t had much play over the years at all AWESOME for a 53 year old record Both must grade overall at least as Very Good

Record : Visual -

Spectacular Original 1969 UK 1st Press Vinyl Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GREAT with NO really nasty scratches, groovewear, or nasty deep scuffs whatsoever The only blemishes are just some light wispy sleeve traces, a few mild hairlines and age marks, and just a small amount of cosmetic non-sounding and unfeelable scuffs only visible in direct angled light mostly caused from where it has sat or been removed from it s cover over the years Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes really interfere with play AT ALL thanks to the deeply pressed quality BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall at the least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me

Record : Audio -

Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic stereo separation and clarity It really sounds incredible with NO hisses, hops, distortion, sticks OR skips Only like pretty much ALL records has just a mere touch of the lightest crackle and a few light ticks here and there on rare occasions, and only a hint of low level ultra light bluesman s fag atmospheric static in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections like the run in grooves and between some tracks e.t.c, but it TRULY doesn t overshadow the music AT ALL I d even argue it gives it added soul And that s truly about it The vast, vast majority of the music is ultra clear and sounds ABSOLUTELY AWESOME with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from 1968 Promo Stable UK 1st Press vinyl An outstanding listen Absolutely ESSENTIAL ASTONISHING for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall audibly at least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me

Sleeve :

Original UK 1968 1st Press unlaminated textured gatefold sleeve complete with original inner and IMPOSSIBLY RARE original Stable Records with compliments card some general ageing and creasing with DJ notes on the back from a few years later of Lemmy s timeline leading up to the Motorhead Ace Of Spades release Quite possibly the ONLY example left in existence - UNBELIEVABLE IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn with HEAVY wear and DRASTIC ink rubbing due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP This one is NOT, and looks ASTONISHING, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves NO graffiti OR writing, NO splits OR excessive wear, and still ultra strong and solid after all these years Only has a few ultra minor signs of mild ageing such as a small amount of ultra light creases and a slight touch of a record imprint, only some VERY light signs of the mildest general ink rubbing and ageing in places INCREDIBLY common with this sleeve - truly, truly minimal in this case , a touch of denting to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP s have, and POSSIBLY just to be sure one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all And that s truly about it I tend to bring it down by listing the most minor negatives I can find, but this remains an OUTSTANDING example of this super age prone sleeve sleeve, and it s a TRUE rarity to find one as ultra strong, solid, unworn and beautifully presentable as this - most have been virtually destroyed, heavily worn, or are just about being held in one piece, but not this one It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and 100 readable Must grade overall at least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me

Summary : An ASTONISHING pre release DJ Promo example of this INCREDIBLY RARE legendary psych prog Lemmy classic original 1968 UK 1st Press LP complete with IMPOSSIBLE original Stable Records card Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL AS THIS YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don t miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60 s/70 s music history Bid now

I ve realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system occasionally with a or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i m having real trouble deciding , so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100 perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps
