Item Description

Elvis Presley Change Of Habit 45 RPM Transcribed Radio Spot Announcements one-sided 4-track promo 7 single from 1969. What s interesting is that this 45 is pressed on a white label attributed to MCA - Inc. and when researching this radio spot 45, I found that copies were on a green and white label attributed to Universal Pictures. I can t tell if this is a true rarity, made in a different country or what, but what you ll see is that the 4-track info, 45 RPM Transcribed Radio Spot Announcements text, Change Of Habit title and the CR 236 UCS text are the same as on the Universal Picture version.

The first track of this 45 is 60-seconds long and starts with Elvis singing the hook of Change Of Habit followed by an announcer saying Change of Habit is a great change of pace for Elvis Presley. Now he s a dedicated young doctor who meets today s scene head on. When he tries to keep the lid on a red hot ghetto and meets Mary Tyler Moore a bright young nun in modern dress. Then there s a clip of Mary Tyler Moore saying We re gonna live the way other people live and dress the way they do . Elvis then says You could have told me you know . MTM says I couldn t, it was an experiment . Elvis says Even after you saw I was getting hung up on you . The announcer returns to say Could he change her life? Would she forget her vows and follow her her? Change of Habit is an entirely new role for Elvis, in a completely different kind of picture. Costarring Mary Tyler Moore and exciting singing star Barbara McNair. From Universal in Technicolor, Change Of Habit is rated G, suggested for general audiences. A great change of pace for Elvis .

The 4-tracks on the A-side run 60-seconds, 30-seconds, 10-seconds and 10-seconds, with the last 3 being variations of the 6-second track. The 4-tracks are banded, so that they do not run from track to track.

The vinyl on this 45 is in very good - very good plus condition with a few wispy scuffs. There s a small chip intact to the B-side. This PROMO 45 states PROMOTIONAL COPY
