THE RECORDS
THE LABELS
THE ORIGINAL YELLOW AND BLACK LABELS ARE IN MAGNIFICENT CONDITION . THE JET BLACK BASE COLOUR IS RICH AND VIBRANT AND FULLY STRETCHES INTO THE UNWORN SPINDLE HOLE.
THE SILVER TYPEFACE IS PERFECTLY LEGIBLE AND UNRUBBED. THE YELLOW LOGO IS IN THE SAME EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION.THE BLACK BASE COLOUR STRETCHES FULLY UNBLEMISHED RIGHT INTO THE UNMARKED AND UNWORN SPINDLE HOLES ON BOTH SIDES.
I CAN MAKE OUT ABOUT 3-4 REALLY SMALL SPIDER LINES, INDICATING THAT THE VINYL HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED IN THE LAST 49 YEARS
THE VINYL
AN ORIGINAL HEAVYWEIGHT LP THAT ABSOLUTELY GLEAMS LIKE NEW. IT HAS RETAINED ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL LUSTRE, AND IN DAYLIGHT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS, AND EVEN WHEN PLACED UNDER INTENSE ILLUMINATION THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE. NO HAIRLINES, OR HANDLING LINES. A PRICELESS MINT DISC
PLAYING THE RECORD
THIS STEREO VINYL PLAYS TO PERFECTION. THERE IS NO DISTORTION TO THE DELICATE SOUND WHATSOEVER, AND I WOULD SUGGEST TAKING A LISTEN TO TIL THERE WAS YOU WHICH HISTORICALLY ON MOST COPIES SUFFERS FROM POOR REPRODUCTION, BUT ON THIS VINYL IS PERFECT.
THERE IS NO BACKGROUND CRACKLE AND NO LOUD CLICKS EITHER.
THE RUN IN S AND RUN OUTS ARE SILENT AND I HAVE EVEN RECORDED THE ENTIRE RUN OUT TO THE POINT WHEN THE DEAD WAX HITS THE LABEL.
I HAVE TO SAY THAT I DIDN T EVEN HEAR ANY DUST POPS WHATSOEVER THROUGH THE ENTIRE PLAY, WHICH INCIDENTALLY REPRODUCES THE MOST MAGNIFICENT STEREO SOUND. CRISP, CLEAR, WITH EVERY NOTE HEARD TO ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
THERE IS JUST NOTHING TO MAR THIS OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
THE TRACK THAT OFTEN LETS THIS ALBUM DOWN IS TIL THERE WAS YOU BUT PLEASE LISTEN TO IT I THINK THIS COPY IS AS GOOD AS I HAVE EVER HEARD IT SOUND
SO HERE WE HAVE A BARELY PLAYED STEREO 1ST ISSUE, 1ST PRESS WITH THE JOBETE CREDIT
I DON T BELIEVE THE AUDIO CAN EVER BE BETTERED ON ANY COPY AND IN MY OPINION IT IS A MINT SOUND THROUGHOUT
BUT THE IMPORTANT THING IS WHAT YOU THINK. SO PLEASE TAKE A GOOD LISTEN AND JUDGE IT FOR YOURSELF
THE SLEEVE
SUPERB GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE PATENTS PENDING SLEEVE
THE FRONT SURFACE IS FLAT AND HIGHLY POLISHED. THE LAMINATE GLEAMS LIKE A MIRROR.
THERE ARE NO HEAVY CREASES OR CREASE LINES, AND MOST AMAZINGLY NOT ONE JOT OF RING WEAR OR EVEN RECORD SHAPE, AND ON THIS ALBUM THAT IS RARE.
THE FOUR CORNERS HAVE A TINY SPECK OF RUB, AND THE BOTTOM LEFT HAS A PIN PRICK OF LAMINATE LIFT. THE BOTTOM RIGHT A TINY CREASE LINE
THERE ARE JUST TWO OF THE TINY LAMINATE LINES CLOSE TO THE SPINE. NONE ON THE TOP EDGE.ONE ON THE BOTTOM EDGE AND ONE SMALL THUMB LINE BY THE OPENING EDHE
THE TOP EDGE HAS A SMALL SCUFF JUST ABOVE THE WITH THE BEATLES TEXT. OTHERWISE FULLY PRESENT WITH A PIN PRICK OF RUB TO THE TIP ENDS
THE BOTTOM EDGE IS FREE FROM ANY SHELF WEAR, OTHER THAN A SPECK OF RUB TO THE TIP ENDS
THE SPINE IS JUST IMMACULATE. NOT ONE FINGER TO THUMB SQUASH . THE TAPERED ENDS HAVE RETAINED ALL OF THE LAMINATE AND EVEN THE TOP AND BOTTOM TIPS ARE TOTALLY UNWORN. THE BLACK TYPEFACE IS PERFECT AND THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE LAMINATE WHATSOEVER
THE OPENING EDGE IS RAZOR SHARP AND DOESN T EVEN HAVE ANY THUMB NAIL NICKS ALONG THE EDGES. A SURE SIGN OF HOW OFTEN THIS LP HAS BEEN OUT OF THE SLEEVE.
THE REAR SURFACE IS INCREDIBLY WHITE. THERE IS JUST THE BAREST SHADOW OF HANDLING TO THE OPENING EDGE, AND A FEW TINY BLOTCHES OF VERY LIGHT AGEING
THE FLIPBACKS ARE ALL PERFECTLY ADHERED
THE ORIGINAL SHOP STICKER SITS IN THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER
THE ORIGINAL RICE PAPER LINED EMITEX INNER SLEEVE IS IN SUPERB UNCREASED CONDITION. NONE OF THE SEAMS ARE SPLIT EITHER. A GREAT EXAMPLE
FOR ME THIS SLEEVE GRADES NEAR MINT
