GWEN OWENS Just Say You re Wanted. 1966 Northern soul 45 on VELGOVelgo 002.VG condition on vocal side. VG- on instrumental side. The record also has good gloss. A very reasonable amount of light scuffs on the Just Say... side but no deep feeler marks. Still very attractive looking. CHECK THE SOUND CLIPS. Like most copies of this 45 the mastering is too hot or loud . This record is known for this problem. Also due to the mastering and low budget pressing the record has trouble tracking near the end. From my hands on experience with this copy, the record played OK at 1.25 grams tone arm weight. If I used 2 grams or 3 grams weight it did not hold the groove and jumped near the end. Regardless of tracking weight, the record sounds pretty overdriven in spots and has what i call groove rush . A few of these small Detroit record companies tried to cut their masters as loud as Motown 45s but ended up with occasional distortion. The Still True side has some more obvious scuffs and regular noise but still played pretty well. Please listen to the provided sound files carefully.Will pack extremely well
