Here we have the 100 original Lee Perry produced LP Good Bad The Upsetters . Trojan Records in the UK put an album out with almost the same name a year earlier without Lee Perry s involvement or consent. Angered, Perry secured a deal to make the album his way but this only got as far as the test pressing stage when Perry took the plates to Jamaica and put the new album out himself on the Upsetter label. This was a very small pressing using original UK Trojan covers with a pasted over track listing and production credit.
These original Jamaican pressings are extremely rare today. But I have one to offer one lucky bidder
The cover is a solid VG . Top left is slightly dog-eared and there s some minor laminate separation from the paper below. Some light discoloration on the back and the sticker is nice. No seam splits.
The vinyl is visually VG-. There is one feel-able scratch on side two. I have pro-cleaned and play graded this LP in it s entirety and it plays VG to VG . There are NO SKIPS I have uploaded a video with the full album so you can hear how the entire album plays. The feel-able scratch is on side 2 track 3 and plays much better than it looks PLEASE READ BEFORE LISTENING: This album is MONO and as such the transfer was made summing the left and right stereo channels to Mono to demonstrate how it will sound properly played back with the Mono switch on a stereo amplifier turned ON. If you intend to play this Mono record back in stereo as with any Mono record you do this with you will likely hear more surface noise. There are plenty of threads on audiophile forums explaining why this is.
