Offered here for auction is a FANTASTIC, RARE, Batman find This auction is for a Master test pressing of the Batman Television Soundtrack album from 1966. It came from a collection that belonged to a NYC disc jockey/recording engineer who worked in the industry from the late 50 s through the mid 80 s. Not only does this include the Master but it also includes a 2-page mimeographed copy of text that was to be included on the label: title of the record, playlist, timing of the playlist, even the characters speaking in the show that preceded the music. It also includes additional information about the production and a list of people that copies were sent to. There are some doodling marks and a couple of marks due to the age of this mimeographed paper. This is a VERY rare find and a must have for the true Batman collector
Condition: The catalog is TFM 3180 which indicates this is a monaural recording. The labels are plain white with handwritten notations of TFM-3180-A on side 1 and TFM-3180-B on side 2. Both have the date 2/21/66 written on them. Etched into the runout on side A is TFM-3180-A and WFS on side B it isTFM-3180-B and WFS. Side A has some surface scuffing, a 10mm scratch in track 3 and an area in track 2 of some sort of marking. Side B has some surface scuffing and two scratches in tracks 4, 5 and into track 6. Also, the same sort of mark as side A in track 3. This record plays well with no skipping and only very slight noise. The cover is a plain white cover with label hole. There is the hand written word Batman on one side and some doodling on the other. It has a new plastic inner sleeve. Please contact me if you have any questions.
