EU buyers ..You will have to pay tax on this..I can do nothing about it.
I am having a mini clear out so have a look at my other items for sale...
Their roots go back to 1965 when they formed as a jazz trio at the University of Sussex..As time moved on,they became Ice proving popular on the Brighton/Sussex circuit as a psychey pop band ..Ice fell apart and Linda Hoyle was recruited as vocalist..Ronnie Scott heard them, became their manager and offered them regular bookings at his Jazz Club..By the time they recorded this their only album ,they were an experienced live act getting rave reviews..
It s great....Highly skilled musicians playing a blend of prog rock and jazz..Slabs of Hammond organ, great guitar,a really tight band and Linda Hoyle delivering some blistering vocals on the top..
A poor seller at the time, clean copies are increasingly hard to find now..
Issued on Vertigo in 1970..63560 004..Uk pressing in a non laminated gatefold sleeve..It still has it s original Vertigo inner sleeve with the polythene still firmly attached inside the gatefold..Better still, the previous owner kept it in a Mobile Fidelity inner sleeve for extra protection ...The matrix numbers are 1 Y 2 and B 1.
It was re issued by Vertigo in 1971 With RE matrix numbers ,since then it has never had a UK vinyl re issue ..The first UK CD re issue was done by Angel Air in 2002...Akarma found some unissued tracks which they issued in 2002..
Anyway,I digress
Visually, both sides of the record look great..They are clean and undamaged with no scratches, scuffs or hairlines..Even stong light reveals, just a couple of tiny hairlines..
Both sides play as good as they look..No clicks,no pops,no crackle and a big fat, clean, undistorted sound..NO edge warps either..
Played on a JVC deck with a Shure tracking at 2G.
The labels are undamaged..There are some spindle trails, but they are not excessive..
The gatefold sleeve has SLIGHT colour fading and there is a little edge rubbing and light cornerwear..The top front right has it s original price sticker 2.40 ..I have not tried to remove it And I don t advise that you try as it looks baked on ..It adds to the sleeve, rather than detracts ..The inside of the gatefold has a few almost invisible age spots and the back top left has some hardly noticeable scribble...The spine is unbroken with only light wear.
The Vertigo inner has some age yellowing but no seam splits..
This album is getting SO hard to find in this condition
So,there we are...I hope that with the pictures and description, you get a good idea of what s on offer..If you have any questions just ask
