QUEEN 7 LIAR Acetate 4.58 version
Following on from the amazing Sotheby s Freddie Mercury auctions is another Queen Holy Grail item for sale here
Original 1973 UK 1-sided Emidisc 7 acetate for the debut single. Contains a 4.58 edit version which differs completely to all known released versions.
I sent an mp3 of the recording to a fellow Queen aficionado who is confident that this is from Queen s first BBC Radio session which was recorded on February 5, 1973 at Langham 1 Studio in London. This first BBC session was organized by Trident productions to promote the band a full five months before the release of their first album.
The disc is VG but plays through without jumps although some background noise is evident.
Comes in generic white sleeve
More information on the various recordings of Liar can be found here at the excellent Queen Vault website
Another emidisc acetate cut from the same session was sold through 991.com many years ago, although the description states it as a 3.36 edit
