THE BEATLES - PLEASE, PLEASE ME This NEAR MINT UK 1st MONO pressing of their debut LP is from March 1963 release on the black/gold Parlophone label: PMC 1202 Both sides have 1st variant labels with the Dick James Mus.

Day printed mono cover, with Angus McBean credit in the extreme lower right corner Complete with its original and correct poly-lined inner-sleeve CONDITION Disc Labels: MINT A flawless set with 100 gold print on both labels and NO spindle marks or wear on either Visual: NEAR MINT Pristine, factory-fresh playing surfaces which are as new in strong daylight ,with no scuffs, scratches or visual wear of any kind.
Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals only a small number of very faint wispy hairlines from the inner-sleeve and a sparkling rainbow shine.
Both sides of this immaculate disc lie 100 flat on the turntable and is truly a final upgrade/investment-grade piece Sound Quality: MINT This copy has clearly been barely, if ever played and sounds 100 flawless throughout.
There is no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or crackle on any track, even on the most easily and damaged Twist Shout .
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and there is not a single tick, click or pop anywhere.
The mono remasters are nearly here but they will never replace the incredible sound on this amazing treasure.
Cover: EXCELLENT A magnificent example of this delicate cover which has been carefully stored in a clean, non-smoking environment for 51 years The front panel is perfectly clean glossy with just the lightest touch of storage, but no thumbnail wrinkles or other wear There is are tiny shelfwear rubs to the lower two corners but no bumps or bruising to any.
The opening edges are clean sharp with the only sign of use being a small push to the front edge opposite John s shoulder.
This minor blemish does not appear on the rear edge.
The exposed rear panel is perfectly white and free from any writing or age-related marks.
The only real blemish is a small mark made by a long lost piece of adhesive tape in the lower left corner.
There is also a small repair to the flipback in the lower right corner.
