READ THIS These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can t test-play at the minute. Please don t bid if this is a problem for you.
So with that said
Beatles LP Revolver 1966 First Pressing STEREO CONSIGNMENT In Shrink, NM
As we know, in 1966, MONO was still outselling STEREO 4 to 1. Therefore, first-pressing stereo copies are scarcer, and consigned pressings even more so. This is an outstanding NM copy of the STEREO Columbia pressing, still in the shrinkwrap.
Vinyl--- NM/ NM. Both sides shine, just like 1966-brand new. One very light hairline per side.
Plates--- W9/ W7. Thin-cut concentric groove closer to the outer edge of the labels come from Columbia lathes.
Cover--- EX. There is a small amount of browning at the top right corner, and some clouding on the back cover at the top left. Other than that, all seams are 100 muscular strong. All white areas still white as the day the cover was printed. VERY nice cover
Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover. One is above John s eye, and the other is due south, above George s eye.
Labels--- NM/ NM. Bold, colorful and 100 gloss Songwriting credits list first and last names.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Original yellow Capitol inner sleeve is present and in VG condition. One tiny side seam split, bottom center seam split about two inches long.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.
RIAA: None.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks
Note: All LP s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don t bid unless you re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks
Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks
