A legendary band with the driving force being Nick Cave. This poster is equally legendary, it has been published in books of music posters BUT I doubt whether the actual poster has seen the light of day for many years.
I stumbled across this one in my warehouse rolled in a bundle of other Aussie gig posters.
An honest rundown of imperfections that exist on this poster:
1. Clear tape residue - top left-hand corner - it shows through from back to front.
2. Tape residue on the back of the poster beneath the T - does not show through.
3. Slight nick above the A on the top border - an attempt to fix leaving tape residue on the back.
4. Tape residue on the top right-hand border - slight scrunching.
5. Repaired with matt clear tape on the back above the right-hand skeleton.
6. A half-inch tear above the hands of the 2nd bottom skeleton - repaired from the back with tape - adhesive stain remains.
This is the perfect piece for serious cleaning and restoration.

The Birthday Party played their final show at the Crystal Ballroom in St Kilda on 9 June 1983 and disbanded not long after, due in part to the split between Cave and Howard, as well as work and drug-related exhaustion.
