Title : Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde
Label year : Original CBS SBPG 66012 Double LP , UK Stereo 1966/67 IMPOSSIBLY RARE Transitional 1st Press
Matrix s : Side A : SDDP 66012 A1 , Side B : SDDP 66012 B2 , Side C : SDDP 66012 C1, Side D : SDDP 66012 D1
Dylan goes psychedelic Now HERE is a one-off rarity Instead of the usual large 33 on all 4 labels, side two has the large 33 1/3 and sides one three and four has 33 The EXACT moment of the label change Now DON T confuse this with the common second press - the 33 1/3 is of a MUCH larger text than the common 2nd issue labels AND not only that, it has the A1 C1 D1 matrixes with 33 labels which ONLY the very 1st press had, with only side B as the uniquely briefly issued B2 matrix This can only be an OUTRAGEOUSLY RARE transitional press made just to satisfy a handful of orders during the label changeover to the small 33 1/3 labels that CBS LP s from 1967 onwards had - and of course, the common 1967/68 press of this LP had later matrixes and a non-flipback sleeve This is the EARLIEST EVER stereo stamped flipback sleeve Without ANY doubt, this is EASILY the very rarest Stereo edition of this magnificent LP ever made
ALL OF DYLAN S SIXTIES STEREO S WITH STEREO STAMPED SLEEVES ARE SIMPLY NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - ESPECIALLY BLONDE ON BLONDE ULTRASONICALLY CLEANED FOR MAXIMUM FIDELITY OUTSTANDING
Die hard fans will be pleased to hear that this is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MIX TO THE CD AND VINYL REISSUES It sounds exceptionally special with plenty of extra things, such as more instruments on Fourth Time Around, LOUD kick-drum on Sad Eyed Lady..., and even a longer outro on Temporary Like Achilles to name but a few things I noticed The final album in the Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisited trilogy of unrivalled brilliance, and it truly is Dylan at his very best
Unfortunately I don t have the time to write about the phenomenal brilliance of this LP I really wish I did , but all you need to know is that it s EASILY ONE OF THE GREATEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME EVER, IT CONTAINS MAGIC That s about all I can do right now. You really don t want to miss out on this LP, it s a TRUE classic - and this IMPOSSIBLY RARE transitional version may NEVER turn up again - bid now
About : Ultra Rare Original 1966/67 Transitional UK 1st Press This MASSIVELY RARE LP initially sold barely anything LP s were also really expensive to most people back then and therefore had a very small run, and is INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND, especially in this condition AN absolute classic LP from this incredible legend An astonishing album that really DESERVES to be in EVERY serious 60 s / 70 s record collection Don t miss out on this MEGA RARE LP If you like good music, bid now
The LP :
Labels :
Classic UK orange CBS rough textured labels All sides are FANTASTIC with minimal signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever Just has a small amount of ultra light spindle marks from general careful light use over the years AWESOME for a 58 year old record Both must grade overall at least as Very Good
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original UK CBS Vinyls Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, they look AWESOME with NO nasty scratches, groovewear, or nasty deep scuffs whatsoever The only blemishes off perfection are just one or two BARELY VISIBLE totally non-sounding cosmetic scuffs, a few of the lightest, wispy sleeve traces/cleaning lines only visible in strong angled light and only a few ultra light hairlines mostly from where it has sat or been removed from it s cover over the years Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes affect smoothness of play AT ALL FANTASTIC for a record of this age and rarity You ll be amazed by how generally clean and unworn they are Both must grade overall at least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Record : Audio -
Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic stereo separation and clarity It really sounds great with NO hops, hisses, distortion, sticks, or skips Only like pretty much all records has low level static in places such as on the run in grooves, a few ultra light ticks here and there on rare occasions, and just a hint of ULTRA mild and light bluesman s fag static in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections, but it truly doesn t overshadow the music AT ALL I d even argue it gives it added soul An outstanding listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from UK 1st Press vinyl Absolutely essential FANTASTIC for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall audiably at the very least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Sleeve :
Original UK 1966 1st Press laminated flipback stereo-stamped gatefold sleeve complete with original mega rare advertisement inners brilliant and intact with only one mild seam split to each IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP This one is NOT, and looks AWESOME, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves NO tears, NO writing OR graffiti, NO bad marks AT ALL, NO seam splits, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years Only has a few signs of usual light ageing such as some light creasing and a touch of a record imprint, some pin holes to the top and bottom right corners of the front and back where it was once hung on a wall quite hard to notice, I only just spotted them now and a little general mild laminate glazing and indents from where it has sat between sleeves over the years nothing drastic at all , a touch of denting to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP s have, and POSSIBLY just to be sure one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all And that s truly about it I tend to bring it down by listing the most minor negatives I can possibly find, but this remains an AWESOME bright sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one as brilliantly presentable as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and 100 readable Must grade overall as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Summary : An AWESOME example of this INCREDIBLY RARE classic original 1966 Stereo Stamped 33 and LARGE 33 1/3 Transitional UK 1st Press LP Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND THIS MASTERPIECE IN THIS MEGA RARE TRANSITIONAL FORM YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don t miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60 s/70 s music history Bid now

I ve realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system occasionally with a or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i m having real trouble deciding , so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100 perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps
