Up for bid, this is a very rare, one sided acetate LP from the Lyd recorded in Hollywood, California in 1970. In the dead wax it is stamped with this matrix number: 9958E1/A. The On the A side label, Sunwest Recording Studios, Inc. is printed along with their address and phone number. In typeset printing, the label clearly says The Lyd Side 1 along with 33 1/3 RPM Mono.
Info on where this 6 song acetate actually was recorded, at least what we have found in multiple places online, that it has was actually recorded at the Sound Factory in Hollywood, California in 1970. It is of course very possible that the acetates themselves were just pressed at Sunwest Recording Studios, which was in the same local area as the Sound Factory in Hollywood. What is definitely known for certain, is that this was originally never released when it was recorded. It was recorded by this obscure California psych/hard rock group who at the time were looking into finding a label deal to do a record with which never came to pass. It is unknown exactly how many acetates were pressed, but most likely no more than a few in order to give out to labels and promoters to engage interest in the band. It was reissued for the first time in the 1990 s and later by long-standing reissue label Akarma Records in 2000 with actual song titles.
This all stated, this is needless to say, a very rare acetate The record is in VG- condition with some surface scuffs and some scratches, most of which are thankfully fairly light. We have cleaned the record on a Degritter Mark II Ultrasonic cleaning machine and have played it in it s entirety. It actually plays really well with just a little slight surface noise, mainly on the first couple of tracks. There are a couple of light pops also on the first track, but it played very well end to end with no skips There was no actual jacket with this release, so we of course will ship it with a Minty new generic white jacket inside of a Mofi anti-static sleeve.

Mint M - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects
Near Mint NM - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in like new condition.
Very Good VG - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don t affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.
Very Good VG - record has more wear than VG and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches. generally still a great playing copy. jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.
Very Good - VG- - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.
Good and Good G and G - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches. jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
