Original factory sealed copy of Pink Floyd s 8th studio album The Dark Side of the Moon released by Harvest Records in March, 1973. This copy is an example of the true 1st US pressing which is practically impossible to find in a such condition. This copy could be conditionally called a promotional because the promotional copies of this album don t exist. Nevertheless, this copy is a DJ radio station copy that belonged to an FM station whose original vintage logo sticker in the form of a triangle intersects with the design of this legendary album. Even though the radio station that this vintage sticker belonged to is unknown to us, the seagull and the ocean depicted on the sticker allow to assume that the radio station was located in a port city or a coastal area. The way the radio station s DJ affixed this sticker to the front cover could be called very creative. Now, before the ray of light hits the prism it goes through the FM radio station s triangle logo. It seemed so cool to us that we decided not to remove this sticker. Throughout its existence, this album has been reissued in more than 1000 different versions. Many of these reissues are rare and collectible but not a single one can be compared to the true 1st pressing. Original 1st print cardboard gatefold cover contains a rare hype sticker which leaves no doubts that this factory sealed copy is the true 1st US pressing. The majority of existing stickers that can be found on this album has a configuration that includes the Printed in U.S.A. text which appeared on the stickers of later pressings. Early release copies, including the currently listed one, had a round black 2 hype sticker without the Printed in U.S.A. text affixed to the shrink wrap. This factory sealed copy is in pristine Mint condition with the fully intact shrink wrap having the original factory breathe holes, two on the front cover and one on the back. Just like any other early issue of this album, this copy contains inside a large number of promotional materials, including two posters, one with a pyramid and the other with a photo of the band, and two self-adhesive stickers with the Dark Side of the Moon graphics. Beautiful final upgrade copy in vintage Mint condition with the sharp corners and wear-free edges. The factory shrink wrap with original breathe holes has some very light age shelf wear and scuffing but remains fully intact.
