to make grading as correct as possible, the record has been cleaned on a Loricraft cleaning machine and played after the cleaning.
Side A: Playback is wonderful, close to perfection. A wonderful NM.
side B: Francaix is absolutely stunning. It is probably the best cello sound I ve ever heard on vinyl. Playback is perfect.
Schubert: A moving interpretation of the Arpeggione Sonata. Except for very sporatical background noise, playback is perfect until the last rounds at the end of the side where there s a little hairline scratch which causes tics for around 15 rounds.
Listening to this exceptional recording, you immediately notice why this records is so highly appreciated. It is one of the best cello sound ever recorded, the sound is phenomenal, direct, rich, full bodied, you hear clearly every detail. The interpretation of young Anja Thauer is moving and inspiring, a 17-year-old rising star playing like a goddess.
