Item Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING:
Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.
OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.
Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries Italy, Russia, France, in particular has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 22,000 positive feedback.

We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
Thank you for your interest and support.

Inga was a well accomplished vocalist with a commanding belting husky and wide range style, more bluesy than Janis Joplin yet captivating the prog psych bluesy underground scene for a good number of years ... the real deal backed by dominating gushing Hammond searing guitar battles ..Sounding like a psychedelic reincarnation of blues legend Bessie Smith, the blazing vocal power of Inga Rumpf sets the stage for this 1971 blues prog psych blowout.
The MIGHTY Frumpy grooves through 4 intense and rather lengthy compositions that meld the fire and passion of the blues with traits of the UK progressive rock movement, Frumpy s second LP, simply titled 2, is arguably their finest.

Somewhat detached from the freaky sounds that were materializing in communes and basements associated with the underground Krautrock scene West Germany in 1971, there is a marked American R B tendency here.

Largely attributed to vocalist Ingas s affections for early female blues artists, but what really makes Frumpy 2 jive is the unremitting chemistry that flows between the individual players. Unlike some of the abstract studio jams with contemporaries such as Amon Duul II there is more consonance here and one doesn t have to be tripped out on LSD to appreciate FRUMPY s exuberant compositions, which can be melodic, ferocious and sublime while still sustaining a meaningful flow.
Hammond Organ power chords from Jean-Jacques Kravetz are at the foundation for this 4 quartet, often compared to UK contemporaries such as 1971 era Uriah Heep and Deep Purple yet have more parallels to the surging organ work on the first Lucifer s Friend s monster Lp.

Throughout fiery Hendrixy electrified guitar flourishes from Rainer Baumann color the jammers and bond well with the Hammond organ structures. A noticeable common pattern is evident on the album by the beginning of side two giving the band a two dimensional quality with Inga s growling range vocals book-ending adventurous sections often joining and accenting with striking wordless vocalizations.
In spite of the rather straightforward playing and musicianship on two cosmic blues rave-ups Take care Of Illusion and How The Gypsy Was Born , the band s energy and execution are impeccable. The latter, How The Gypsy Was Born attained moderate success as a cut-down single version made the German rock charts during the spring of 71.
More musical and compositional exploration takes place on the other two pieces Good Winds and Duty which appropriately open and close the album respectively. Even more depth is created by injecting classical organ themes --the most notable being the Bach fugue at the conclusion of Duty which also features organ / guitar interplay -- a blistering guitar freakout.
The album opener, Good Winds had the potential for a side long epic with it s dreamy lyrics that unite the Earth Universe featuring Inga s amazing vocals stepping out of character with the rest of the album and providing ethereal sensations rivaling anything other female singers could match to this day.

CONDITION:

The cover: rated: VG actually is far better collectible, grade was lowered for reasons the custom circular group members panels hooked together were super fragile at seams in 1971 when released of course 50 years later, good luck finding the panels not seperated...such as the 71 first print offered here. Years ago was carefully repaired by original owner with bits of clear-tape on back side of group photo panels as to keep the whole circular fold-out together as was first issued.
Tape discoloration many years later is NOT anywhere on group photo s front - but only on white backing with song lyrics unaffected. Otherwise still very sharp, full colors, no tears to the fragile thick paper panels, delete marks, no bends, no writing ...
Lastly, this the original 1971 press, came in a clear plastic holder with handle ... forget about finding not disintigrated ... well, the plastic holder with handle to this rarity still exists, though has removed tape residue from splits on outer plastic seams ... mentioning as will include the original outer plastic holder that came with the circular panels cover.
Ask questions if need ... again the cover is not mint, yet still highly collectible

The vinyl: Rated: near M- STUNNING MULTI-SPLATTER color vinyl - was very limited ... both sides play awesome all the way, highest example of this splatter vinyl first print as a top vinyl copy, 71 including both Philips labels being very clean
A cool addition to anyone s music library

SEE: SELLERS OTHER ITEMS similar grooves for head people...
