FROCK SILKIE LP Private Press - Frock Music label released in 1978.
This was limited to just 250 copies or 350 depending on what you read on the internet and features on the Pokora 4001 Record Collectors Dream with a 5 star rarity rating.
Needless to say this is the only copy of this record I have EVER seen.

Bringing to mind Deirdre, Fairport Convention, Ragged Heroes, et al, the LP includes superb interpretations of traditional material like Blackleg Miner and Lovely Joan.
At the same time the band maintains its own identification particularly through the use of two classically-trained violinists giving a symphonic edge to much of the material.
Only 250 copies were ever pressed four or five which have resurfaced on the collector s market - with none remaining at the source.
Catalogue Number: FM 7838 Condition: The record when viewed under bright light shows a few extremely light surface marks most likely caused by the record being removed from the inner sleeve.
It is not showing signs of having been played many times at all.
Play Grade: This record would probably benefit from a professional clean, which I can have done, there is some minor background crackle at times most noticeable between tracks, it is not destracting and doesn t detract from the music.
A professional clean may well remove most or all background crackle.
I would happily describe this as in excellent condition, some would argue near mint but not quite in my opinion.
The sleeve has not faired quite so well as it has some discolouration and a stain on the rear but on the up side there are no rips or tears.
The inside of the sleeve appears to have the same printing as the outside, not sure if that is unique to this copy or if they were all like that.
Grade VG on the sleeve.
