Carolina Soul weekly offering: This week, Carolina Soul presents two special auctions. 1 All items ending on Sunday August 18th come from the estate of Keiko Jones, who was the wife of jazz drummer Elvin Jones. The Spellman Gallery of New York City purchased the estate in December 2022 and entrusted Carolina Soul with the entirety of the record collection and a handful of other music-related items. This week s will be our only auction dedicated to the estate. Look out for LP jackets bearing vintage Elvin Keiko Jones address stamps and inscriptions extra photos of inner gatefolds are included when relevant . 2 All items ending on Sunday August 19th come from the extensive Impulse label collection of the late Paul Rehm. Paul was a friend and customer of Carolina Soul who passed away in 2023. His excellent holdings of Rock Jazz figured heavily in Carolina Soul auctions late last year, with sales benefiting the Rehm family and the National Brain Tumor Society. These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks. VG Same imperfections found on VG records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
