This is Sunrise, an obscure MN psych folk band recorded in 1972 at Anoka High School and members basement studios with members Chris Atkinson, Joe Atkinson, and Craig Olson. All are originals except Bellls of Rhymney.
I am not a professional record dealer but rather a collectors. I have looked at this carefully and listened to it twice in its entirety. Here are my observations:
The cover has fully intact spine and edges. The images on the front and rear were apparently printed and glued on by the band and are in really nice shape. The covers has an area at the top on the mustard side with some minor ring wear/wrinkle see image . Both sides have some discoloration foxing and spotting again these are visible in the images .
The inner sleeve is slightly yellowed but fully intact and I expect that it is original.
There is an original fold over lyric sheet that is in great shape.
The record retains its original sheen and the label looks great with no spindle wear. On first glance it looks unplayed. Looking at it closely under bright light there a several light scratches that you cannot feel and numerous light scuff marks.
In listening to this, side 1 has light surface noise mostly audible during quiet passages and between tracks.
Side 2 seems to be more quiet throughout.
There were no skips or hold ups and no reocurring noisy scratch type ticks.
Based on the overall factors I would grade this as VG. With the info that I have provided some may consider the grade VG but I want to be conservative and accurate.
I have tried to be as thorough as possible. All sales are final. I will pack carefully for shipping. No buy it now. Bidders will decide what it is worth. This is rarely offered for sale so this is a great chance to own a nice copy.
