Here we are offering an Original Stereo copy of the Velvet Underground and Nico LP with the peel-able banana created by Andy Warhol, still intact on the cover.
Bannana NEVER Peeled, although there is a very small tear at the base of the Banana... I believe it came from the factory this way.
This copy was released on the east coast on Verve Records in the spring of 1968, because the high demand in the NYC area...
catalog number
V6-5008.
Condition of the cover:
The banana has never been peeled from the cover, but there is a tiny tear at the base of th banana where at one point in time, someone tried, fortunately they stopped
The cover shows very minor signs of age, a slight discoloration over all, a minor stain towards the upper right corner on the front. There are NO splits, no stickers, no writing anywhere on the cover. The gatefold cover has never been completely opened, and the spine has never been broken or completely flattened.
Over all, I would say this is an excellent copy Cover VG
This is exactly the same as the version released several months before.
Condition of the record:
Surface shows a number of light hairlines, mostly from being removed from the sleeve. Very, very minor background noise during playback, mainly during the quiet moments between tracks not noticable anywhere else in the playback. No loud ticks
Plays well throughout.
play graded: VG
