Item Description

This 1956 George Jones LP, titled Grand Ole Opry s New Star, is a first pressing on the Starday Records label. The 12 vinyl record features high-fidelity sound and includes songs produced by Don Pierce, Harold W. Daily, and Pappy Daily. The original cover is included in this 1st edition release, which is catalog number LP-101. This record is a great addition to any collection of folk, world, and country music from the 1950s. The vinyl matrix number for side A is SLP-101-RE 2-A and SLP-101-B on there flip. Condition of the record is a solid E, rare among the others I ve seen that sold for twice my Buy It Now price. The B-side has three eyelash marks that are inaudible. The cardboard sleeve is in V/V- condition as there is a split along the bottom about 3 long from the front that has been taped, some wear around the edges and some mild color wear from storage. The record was in a PVC plastic LP sleeve. The cover shows the catalog number as LP-101 and the record label shows the Album title as George Jones Sings . The label is yellow with black lettering. Priced to sell this record plays loud and clear Customers who use the Buy It Now feature will have their shipping returned shortly after sale I m a one man show for my father s collection so it may take a day or three. This record will not disappoint I ll have more listings coming out all through the holiday season.

I ship worldwide via Ebay International and USPS Priority flat rate within the US. Due to the high number of theft and loss the tracking numbers provided with these services are crucial. I recommend insurance as I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged records. That said I pack all records professionally in record specific boxes with a padding process I upgraded from just traditional cardboard squares alone. I will combine up to 3 records at no further charge. If you require full insurance please contact me for final shipping fee. Thank you for visiting Monroe Rare Records and don t forget to check out my other listings.

NOTE: DUE TO THE INCREASE IN RESTRICTIONS AND CUSTOMS I WILL BE USING THE EBAY INTERNATIONAL HUB. THIS MAY TAKE A LITTLE LONGER FOR SOME COUNTRIES, BUT IT S LESS EXPENSIVE FOR THE BUYER AND EBAY COMPLETES ALL CUSTOMS FORMS TO ASSURE ALL SECTIONS ARE FILLED IN CORRECTLY.

IF FOR ANY REASON YOU ARE UNSATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE, PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT. THAT IS MY 100 SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

If you use Popsike etc for reference make sure you read the listings for condition, zoom in on the record for visual condition and view the history. The most recent sale does not necessarily set the bar. There is a night and day difference between V and E

I listed the record as a 1st press. I was mistaken as it is a 58 press with the serif letters on the label. Still a very desirable LP. Thank you to the person who informed me. The description is all correct except for that statement. I was basing it to the one on Discogs, so all other info would be correct for that record. Doesn t affect the price as the 58 still goes for more than I m asking in the same condition.

It was brought to my attention that this record is a second pressing having block type lettering vs script STARDAY . The record is still priced way under the values found on Popsike and discogs for the second pressings. So there is no change in price. I cannot change the description as there is a bid on the record.
