CHAIN OF STRENGTH
What Holds Us Apart
Foundation Records / Mindpower Records 1990
Test Pressing
This is a test press for what became the MINDPOWER pressing of this amazing record.
I talked to Kev Finn about this some years back. His copy has OUT OF 4 written on the dust sleeve. It would make this the rarest CHAIN record out there. Actually I just thought of a rarer one. There s a green vinyl TTD with blank labels. That one is probably out of 1. So there, 2nd rarest.
The test originally came without a cover but I performed some wizardry and pulled a yellow sleeve out of a hat, so it now comes with an original Mindpower cover.
When I was scanning the record for my old site I scanned it with yellow and blue sleeve but only yellow comes with the record. Blue one is not included.
Anyway, for just a couple of grand, or hopefully more, I will furnish you with the ability to whisper these magic words:
Yeah, I ve got a Chain test...
Not many of your record collecting nerd Chinas will be able to match that. It s a bargain especially now, that you re over 40 and have a steady job so you will make the money back in no time. Imagine all of them Instagram likes, dopamine rush, the excitement of hiding the expenses from your wife...
If you look at the last photo, I once had the entire set of Chain tests.
