Item Description

I purchased both these LPs new CTA in the early 80s when I was buying most any half speed LP I could find but this being one of my favorite albums of the late 60s this was a no brainer.
Chicago II I bought in 1970 and have owned it for 55 years .Both these records are sonically and technically as well as musically far better than the fluff this band put out in the late seventies.
The horn arrangements mixed with the guitar wizardry of the late Terry Kath one of the top ten greatest rock guitarists of all time that few people of today have ever heard of .I saw this band play a 2 hour set in the summer of 1970 that essentially was both these LPs.
The memorable tracks on Transit Authority are ,Introduction ,Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is ,Beginnings ,Southern California Purples with an amazing guitar solo by Kath and Questions 67 68 , Chicago II is a 1st US pressing and the sound quality is amazing .
top tracks from this LP are Wake Up Sunshine ,and of course the Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon a medley of songs beginning with Make Me Smile and ending with the Make Me Smile reprise called Now More Than Ever ,with 70s all time love song sandwiched in between Color My World.
25 Or 6 To4 a big top 10 hit ,Prelude which opens up with instrumental sections and ends with perhaps the saddest song ever written called Memories Of Love.
The fantastic anti war track It Better End Soon is the climax of the LP It s hard to believe that only 4 years later this band would be putting out fluff like Saturday In The Park .
Two great LPs for one bid .
