This is the Subhumans from Vancouver, Canada FIRST OFFICIAL RELESE, the ULTRA-RARE Death to the Sickoids/Oh Canaduh 7 , released in 1978 on the independent label Copyright Control.
ONLY 500 COPIES WERE MADE AND ONLY A FEW REMAIN 35 YEARS LATER This is the only Subhumans release featuring the late drummer Ken Dimwit Montgomery, who would quit the band to join D.O.A., where he replaced his brother Charles Chuck Biscuits Montgomery.
Also features Brian Wimpy Roy Goble on vocals, Gerry Useless Hannah on bass and Mike Normal Graham on guitar.
This original pressing has the following numbers and letters etched in the dead wax: A45/35-A , 3538 2 , A45/35-B , 3538 2 and KPG .
Their rarest release ever since only 500 were made back in the day.
GREAT Canadian punk rock legends -la-D.O.A., featuring singer Wimpy Roy, who would later join D.O.A.
on bass and vocals.
This record was recorded in 1978, engineered by Dick Drake and produced by Crass Productions.
Wimpy wrote the track Death to the Sickoids and Gerry wrote Oh Canaduh Gerry Hannah quit the band a couple of years after this release, sold his guitar and became an urban-guerilla He spent five years of a 10 years sentence in prison in the beginning of the 80 s for bombing a nuclear-warhead plant in Toronto and a dam that threatened the environment in B.C.
Talk about being dedicated to your cause : I also have listed a rare tape he recorded in prison.Record and sleeve in great condition with a bit of wear and a couple of wrinkles due to age.
